Usyk Fury 2 Undercard Announced

I agree. Compared to the first couple of Saudi Events, this is disappointing.

 

Some of you lot are hard to please!

McGrail vs McCann is great and Itauma making a big a step up vs McKean is just what we've been asking for. Some other decent scraps too.

 

Dont get me wrong - there is definitely quality and good matchups on this undercard.

Don't you remember when Ryath Season was introduced ? Boxing fans were promised Boxing Extravaganzas with fights that you wouldn't normally get to see.

The fights on this undercard could have been normal fights on TNT, Sky Sports or DAZN on a Saturday Night.

On the plus side we'll probably get to see Isaac Lowe take another hiding

 

Normal fights as in non-ppv but they would have all headlined their own events.

 

Talk of Berinchyk v Cordina being added.

Not sure how Cordina gets a world title shot at a higher weight after being knocked out last time.

Berinchyk wins for me in any case.

 

Main concern I have is the main event not taking place

 

Easy to get your 'kole's' mixed up but just remember Lawrence hugs while Martin Punches

 

Be good to see Turki bellowing Bossssshhhhhhhh top note on the IFL.

 

Definitely a drop in quality.. happy with Moses Itauma and Johnny Fisher stepping up lower down the card but this should really be hosting the IBF eliminator between Bakole and Kabayel plus the contracted rematch between Parker
and Zhang to hold up to previous card standards.

 

Yes another Fury injury could come into play and postpone the fight until Riyadh Season 2029

 

Have to assume the Saudis are going for a slightly more sustainable financial model.

The card is still generally good, with two very good fights on the undercard. It is well above what most marquee UK events have had in recent years.

Of course we have been spoiled with the past year of events. This card doesn't have anything like the quality of Cordina v Cacace or Briedis v Opetaia.

I think most are reacting badly to Fisher v Allen. Understandably so, as Allen has done absolutely nothing to deserve this platform.

The card is a long way from rubbish - but it's maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10 rather than a 9 or 10.

 

Good undercard. Not amazing but with the main event it's a must buy PPV.
