Usyk Fury Face Off

I wonder how much age will come into this.

Usyk mentioned he'd been preparing for him. 2 years, older than Fury but with 10 years/10 fights less in the pro's.

Interestingly, Usyks had 94 amateur fights and Fury only 20. Usyk older, with a lot more miles on the clock. The damage Fury does to his body might negate that.

 

Usyk has 350 amateur fight buddy. His amateur record is 335-15. He also have 5-6-7 WSB semi-pro bouts, and he wins them all. Usyk style is a lot more prone to aging than Fury's.

 

On the other hand Fury's lifestyle and generally crap genes are a lot more prone to aging so it might even out or even be in Usyk's favour.

I think its 94-15 which is 109 fights. 335 rounds or that's what its says on boxrec. Either way that's a crazy amount of miles.

 

No it's not. It's 350 fights, not rounds. I'm following Usyk from long long time and knows almost everything about him.

Rooting for Fury but it just seems like Usyk is more mentally prepared and has been preparing for a long time

Usyk by split decision…

 

Fury's body and health has taken far more of a beating over than years than Usyk.

All the ups and downs in weight , drink , drug abuse. As well of 3 fights with Wilder getting hit clean from one of the hardest punches in the sport. Then getting clumped from anvil hands Francisis while being woefully out of shape.
Fury was taking flush shots to the head while out of shape all the way back to Steve Cunningham
All this accumulation is what destroys fighters.

Usyk has the youth advantage here despite being a year older. He has maintained himself consistently.

Its like Lewis vs Tyson. Lewis was one year older but was far younger than Tyson in boxing years. That not to say Fury is as shot as Tyson was.
Its hard to know where's hes at since he didn't train properly for Francis.

 

Stylistically Usyk suffers more in age than Fury though. But its good to finally fet this fight. Like most it should have been sooner but better now than never.

 

Fury was concentrating on pouting his lips so hard he forgot to do much else. Lol

Usyk seems very focussed; Fury looks like he is trying to get some confrontation/banter going but Usyk is having none of it.

 

Both basically chilled, both no nonsense cold light of day encounter there.

I'm sure we're going to see the best that both men can be potentially at this stage of their careers come fight night.
