I think Usyk will come out and do exactly what Ali did against Foreman and try to really connect hard in the first round. Ok he may not drop him but my money says Usyk really gets Fury’s attention in the first and connects solidly with 4 or 5 big shots which at least visibly stun or hurt Fury. I think Usyk wins on points or cuts stoppage.
I agree and I believe that there are likely to be a lot of arguments about a lot of rounds in this fight. Usyk will fight cautiously in the beginning, just try to touch Fury, and build momentum towards the later rounds.
I've been over and over this in my head. Anything could happen. Fury could be great. He could be absolutely terrible. Usyk could be just too good. He could be just a bit too small to beat Fury. My head is wrecked! I absolutely love it. I can Not wait for tonight.!!! I'm like a ten year old kid. I'm going to get all the treats in, and enjoy every minute of the build up.
First truly 50/50 championship fight I can think of recently where nobody has any clue what's going to happen. Sure AJ Usyk 1 was a tossup but I think most people picked AJ to be too big. Now we know Usyk can hang in the Heavies this is going to be great I have Usyk by points, or even a late stoppage, but a 20-25% chance of a Fury win by KO Not going to think about corrupt cards as as possibility because I don't want us to manifest that
I reckon Fury comes out really aggressive, using his size and weight advantage to good effect. As the fight progresses Fury increases his use of a very high guard, literally ploughing forward, aiming to lean and pin Usyk on the ropes, much like his fight with Cunningham, providing the ref allows the roughhouse tactics to continue. It’ll be interesting if these tactics simply do not work, as I think if that is the case then the fight will swing in Usyk’s favour.
Yeah, that's right. I expect a cautious feeling out first round, as each fighter assesses the other. These guys are neither power punchers nor sluggers. The OP doesn't seem to know too much about these fighters or their history.
Usyk surely knows that everything is stacked against him, he's not getting a points win unless he clearly dominates Fury all the way through, so he's got no time or rounds to lose before getting into high gear, all cylinders firing.
Fury typically does nothing in the 1st round but circles on the outside... He pretty much gives away the 1st round almost all the time. It was the only round I scored for Whyte in their fight, and Whyte was shockingly bad. Think Usyk will start fast, like he did against AJ1... He'll want to whip that left hand in to the head and body to set the tempo of the fight. Fury will be trying to slow the pace down, while Usyk will be trying to speed it up, in round 1.
