Because Ruiz beat AJ once and Markus hates AJ.

Usyk does well and would be a top fighter and would be a favorite against most fighters but I don't think any HW would be undefeated if they fought that list. Just how the sport works.

Usyk hasn't only fought 5 HWs every CW he's fought would be a HW in numerous previous eras and they are bigger than many HWs the HWs from back then fought, a lot bigger in some instances

He also fought all those SHWs in the WSB who were anything from 20lbs to just under 70lbs heavier than him. From 225-279lbs.

If we're going to compare him to HWs his size or smaller ones from previous eras them we have to stop pretending that just because someone decided to create the CW division as opposed to a SHW one he hasn't actually been fighting guys at CW who were the same size or bigger than the HWs of numerous other eras and giants up at HW who are way bigger than the HWs of other eras. Even the smallest ones would be considered very big HWs during certain other eras

A 210-215lb or more CW is a CW but a 178-195lb HW is a HW?

Norton got knocked out by Jose Luis Garcia who was like 188 lb. Norton got sparked out by fighters who put any type of pressure on him, like Earnie Shavers and Gerry Cooney. Cooney ironed him out viciously in under a minute just by cornering Norton and throwing bombs.

Frazier would be too slow and have a height deficit of 4-10 inches on everyone today (not to mention a weight deficit too). Mike Tyson was around the same size as Frazier, but he was waaay more explosive with better punch combinations.

Smaller heavyweights gotta have speed to compete, something which Frazier lacked.

Joe Frazier wasn't slow, he had pretty quick hands and good head movement.

Okay hand speed, but slow feet. In all of his fights he was lumbering forward, bobbing and weaving with mostly static legs.

And yet he cornered and beat Muhammad Ali, so he must've been doing something right.

Ah, I was wondering why he singled out Ruiz out of my multi paragraph post zeroing in on that. Dude can be weird sometimes.

Usyk will lose to a prime Ali. He'd be competitive against everyone else but certainly loses a couple times along the way.

Jurgen Blin was able to do that too, but he lacked Frazier's power. Ali's defensive skills weren't that good, especially in the 70's. Ali relied on reflexes to evade punches, he didn't really develop a guard or any inside game.

Look at the Foreman fight where he took a bad beating. He won that fight, yes... but at the cost of absorbing some brutal shots from a power puncher.

Ali had some of the best reflexes of all time. He was close to his prime when Frazier beat him, and he could still use his legs and superb head movement for several rounds.

The Foreman fight has nothing to do with Frazier or his hand speed. You're all over the place.

Everyone Usyk has fought in the pros was a HW by the old standard and the vast majority of them weighed over 200lbs and the lightest weighed 193lbs

Everyone he's fought up at HW weighed between 233lbs and 280lbs albeit less than that for the later because they were fully clothed

Only 1 of his opponents at HW weighed in under 240lbs (233lbs) and they were 243 for the rematch

And he fought six opponents in the WSB

    Nistor 233lbs
    Modugno 277lbs
    Majidov 235lbs
    Joyce 238lbs
    Brechlin 263lbs
    Fa 246lbs

Roughly 23 of Ali's opponents weighed 200lbs or less

Roughly 40 weighed 210 or less

He fought roughly 7 who weighed 220 or more

2 who weighed 230 or more

1 who weighed 240 or more

I think the lightest guy Usyk fought at HW would be the 2nd heaviest guy Ali ever fought and the only guy he fought over 230 was 6'3'' with a 76 inch reach

And the 2nd lightest guy Usyk fought weighed 10lbs more than the 2nd heaviest guy Ali ever fought

Bugner weighed 230 for the rematch and was 6'4" with a 82" reach though

Ali was very often the bigger man he fought quite a lot of "HWs" who were under 190lbs, Usyk has never fought anyone at CW, let alone HW who weighed 193 or less

Usyk has been in a ring 13 times with opponents who weighed 230lbs + including the WSB

And in 8 fights at HW Usyk has fought fighters who weighed 230 or more 7 times and only once vs fighters who weighed less than 240

In 61 fights Ali has only fought someone who weighed 230 + once

Most of Ali's career was him weighing what many CWs would weigh in the ring vs fellow CW sized HWs

I'm not trying to discredit Ali I'm just demonstrating how silly this HW and CW argument is

Slight underdog against: 60's Ali, 80's Tyson

50/50 versus: Lewis, Holmes, Fraizer, Holyfield, Wlad(real torn on this one)

Slight favourite over: 70's Ali, Vitali, Liston, Norton, Foreman

    Clear favourite over the rest.

    The guy’s a genius.

But he’s only fought 5 professional HW’s in the modern era.

As great as he is, it isn’t enough for anyone to believe that he’d have beaten every great HW in history.
