That was some elite skills brilliant performance that won't be topped

Gassievs perfromance against Dorticos is probably second so far too.

Best performance is quite some time. Very impressed with Usyk today.

I was pulling for Gassiev hard and I'm still bummed about the result.

    He was just too fast.

I don't think Gassiev controlled 10 consecutive seconds of the fight.

Very unexpected ending and definitely a great performance. We'll see what the rest of the year brings.

I think you're right. That was some ring generalship by the ukrainian and Gassiev got
paid to attend an ivy league boxing clinic tonight too. Not a bad deal. btw, Abel sanchez
    was useless tonight.

what's the chance of it being topped do you think? I'd say very slim to none.

Didn't shock me in the least, I wasn't expecting it to be remotely competitive, and not because I think Gassiev sucks, but because Gassiev was dangerous, I knew Usyk would deliver a vintage safety first schooling.

It was expected, but that didn't make it any less satisfying.

Yes Gassiev has that coiled up power that can land on anyone at any moment and do damage..He just got pebble dashed by a fantastic fighter..Gassiev eats boxers that Usyk takes longer with or ud's..Styles

I would say Anatoly Lomachenko has already won the Trainer of the Year award. Vasyl Lomachenko vs Linares, and Usyk vs. Gassiev.

It's among the best victories of the year so far. Srisaket vs. Estrada is notable and would get my vote. I'd say if Golovkin vs. Canelo II ends decisively especially by TKO, that'll take the cake.

    LMAO!

Usyk’s dissection of arguably the most dangerous puncher in the sport > Bellew beating a washed up Haye.

I still love Groves schooling CEJ, especially in that last round with one arm! Gassievs better than CEJ though..

    Loma Linares was great too.

There’s a reason GGG won’t fight an elite level boxer. Abel relies on there power to win them fights

You can't blame Abel. Gassiev just happens to be both A very slow and one dimensional fighter, who doesn't know how to listen, which is a shame because the kid has potential, but in three straight fights he's shown that he doesn't follow instructions.

Abel told Gassiev what to do, but Gassiev barely followed any instructions. He told Gassiev to use combinations and then beat Usyk to the punch and to setup his power shots. The few times Gassiev listened he managed to land on Usyk, but then he would go back to punching one at a time and threw away round after round. Later in the fight Gassiev was just there to survive.

This was also the case in the Lebdev fight. Gassiev started off strong by throwing punches in bunches and snuck a body shot in and managed to knock Lebdev down, but then got lazy and tried to coast and started getting busted up by Lebdev and had no answer for Lebdev's movement and punching from different angles. Abel told him countless times to pick it up and set up his power shots, but Gassiev wouldn't do it. This is why I predicted Usyk to stop Gassiev, but Usyk faded in the middle rounds and stepped off the gas, which raises question marks about Usyk's stamina.
