Sergey Lapin, the sporting director for Oleksandr Usyk, has revealed that Usyk will fight Filip Hrgovic if Tyson Fury pulls out of their May 18th fight.

    That's actually bad news.
Hrgovic just got perfect offer for fighting on Joshua vs Ngannou undercard. If he dont take it because of chance to step up with Usyk he would be stupid.

Filip already lost to many time in his career and waisting even more just because there is "small chance" and possibility is bad.

Take what You got now, already.
I dont think he can fight on march with someone on serious level if he must be ready on may.

Does Hrgovic have a fight on the undercard in the very slim possibility that Fury actually mans up?

The problem is, if he waits for 2 more months for Usyk-Fury, he will then need to wait until Dec for his shot, and that is big if that happens.

2 month "IF" Fury dont fight with Usyk.
If Fury fight with Oleksander he will wait just for nothing.
For me is pretty obvious that better is have good fight in march than just wait and have hope...

Filip waisting his potential and best years. He beat Zhang and look how different their carrer go after that fight.
Zhang earn good money twice with Joyce and now he got extra fight with Parker.
Same time Hrgovic wait and pray for another Fury injury? Lol

That’s just so the promoters can get the IBF off their back. No one actually expects that to happen.

Two months is enough between fights, assuming Hrgovic fights another stiff like DeMori and no cuts.

I think Hrgovic will face some journeyman in the undercard of Usyk vs Fury. And if Fury pulls out again, Hrgovic will automatically replace him on May 18

Belly is a known compulsive liar and serial ducker of Usyk who openly admitted he didn't want a goddamn thing to do with Usyk three years ago and that he still wouldn't even if Usyk beat the biggest star in British boxing and one of the biggest in world boxing period in AJ and annexed all AJ's belts. And Belly has subsequently done everything within his power to be true to his word regarding that. The probability of Belly finding a way to wriggle out of the new date is high and what happens if his cut reopens again in sparring?

His Excellency has us covered! If either man pulls out of the fight, then they have to cough up 10 million bucks!

Yeah I saw that. Very unfair to Usyk as he has to go through another training camp, and his camps are brutal, thanks to that grotesque flabby hairless chimp getting cut, which obviously increases Usyk's chance of getting injured, when Belly has already been given a get out of jail card for pulling out once.

I don't believe that. I think Turki and Fury are working together to push Usyk out of the equation.

Fury will most definitely pull out from the fight claiming his cut opened again. And Turki will match Usyk with Hrgovic, and won't charge Fury $10M at all. He will match Fury vs AJ, which will make more revenue than Fury vs Usyk.

They won't allow Usyk become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Usyk's ex trainer agrees with me:

Eh, to me His Excellency seems like a genuine fan. He doesn´t want a single big fight, he doesn´t care about the profitability of one night. He want´s big fights after big fights. That´s the Saudi strategy to get tourists interested in their country.
His Excellency will likely make Aj vs Fury regardless of who wins the undisputed fight. They just want the big names in big fights.

I love writing His Excellency. ****ing tickles me.

He can still make a fight against another McLean level fighter and take the bump up if Fury pulls out. I actually thought that kind of things was standard procedure.
