    True.

Young Wlad was one of the most destructive offensive forces the HW division has ever seen

I also think too much is made of the losses against Puritty and Brewster. Sure they were bad losses and devastating setbacks for his career at the time, but both were clearly due to exhaustion after he expended all his energy beating the crap out of them. Both tough very durable guys for sure, especially Puritty, and they were able to take the punishment but not many others would of been able to.

Also, Wlad was a lot lighter back when he fought Puritty (just under 225lbs) and had never been past 8 rounds before.

Against Sanders he just got caught by an extremely dangerous puncher who was blessed with that lethal combination of savage power and blazing speed.

I'm not convinced about that. His promoter said Usyk told him he has three more years left in the sport IIRC and His Excellency wants the winner of Usyk vs Belly to face the winner of AJ vs Ngannou and obviously money talks. Usyk also said he was willing to fight AJ for a third time quite a while back now.

The fact Povetkin had to rematch Whyte stinks and it would've been in the UK again too if not for Covid. At the very least Whyte should've offered to travel to Russia for it. Povetkin was on his last legs and his final title run but he had to rematch someone he sparked out cold in KO of the century type fashion in their backyard. He was literally a walking corpse for the rematch.

I agree and there are numerous aspects to admire about AJ and how he's gone about his career and I think I'm fair when it comes to criticizing and defending him.

He's fought the best and he has a quality resume and he deserve praise for that but by the same token the way he disrespected Usyk during his meltdown after Baptism II, tried to instigate a fight with Usyk's senior citizen trainer who was half his size, and later accused Loma of racism for merely trying to console him and showing him respect was despicable.

He is also very fake. But that being said, even though I dislike him for those things it's a pretty mild dislike.

I'm gonna empty this fight from my mind. Ya know what's gonna happen...the fight might get cancelled again. Fury will cut his other eye somehow.

Maybe the weekend before the fight I ll be happy that's it going ahead. Until then we have other matches ( and other sports) to watch.

Apart from a controversial “win” over Zhang, he only goes in with journeyman anyway!
