Watch him a bit, also in the amateurs against the super heavyweights, and you'll see why a lot of us are high on him.

As I admitted, I may not be 100℅ objective here but he looks truly special to me. He's also achieved as much as any of the other CW champions bar Lebedev.

AJ would get his head boxed in. Probably clipped and put out at some point honestly.

A stern test? He won 7 seconds of that fight as he 'slightly' wobbled him. He didn't even score a KD and still lost that round and all the other rounds before and after it. Let's be realistic here.

Comparatively. I agree that AJ won all the rounds, but it was a competitive fight and much tougher than Martin, Breazeale or Molina.

"Stern test" might be a little exaggerated, but my point was that the size difference wasn't necessarily too great for a competitive fight.

True enough, but what we have learned since Whyte fought AJ is he's not that big of a puncher but he rocked AJ - he wasn't close to stopping him, I agree. But you overlook the two body punches that hurt AJ in that round too. Watch him stagger back to the corner at the bell on unsteady legs. So I don't think you have to be a huge puncher to trouble AJ, just more accurate than Whyte. Uysk is a much more skilled boxer than Whyte so if he carries the extra weight well, he could cause problems.

Eddie Chambers in his prime vs Usyk would have been an awesome fight. AJ vs Usyk hmmmm, I wouldn't completely discount Usyk though he'd be at a distinct genetic disadvantage. AJ level of alpha male may be a bit to much to overcome though I find Usyk to be a great operator. I'm not as extreme of a fan as some of the ethnocentric brothers on this forum who judge, lean and narrow their view based on a fighters ethnicity......clearly if you think Usyk takes on AJ in his next fight and somehow pulls a Swea Pea on him with relative ease your not the most logical thinker on this forum.

And at 6'3" with a 78" reach, he can move up to heavyweight.

A skilled southpaw with pound for pound skills, who better the super heavies he sparred with.

Heck yes, he could beat AJ.

    LOL!

Wait so Usyk is the proven one and AJ is still looking for a signature win? Are they both looking for signature wins?

I'm confused it sounds as if your insinuating that AJ doesn't deserve a fight with Usyk as of yet. I'm not even sure CST with all in partial subjective opinions would support this.

(BTW) Don't ever leave this forum Farmy the level of confidence you inspire for the disenfranchised cannot be quantified.

I guess it comes down to how good we think Usyk really is. We obviously don't have enough evidence in the pros yet, he has exactly one very good win. However, as an amateur he basically beat the giant super heavyweights up, size difference notwithstanding.

I think his talent level is up there with Lomachenko, and it needs to be up there to beat AJ or whoever is the man at HW when he moves up.

He certainly could, however, it would be a tall task. Usy isn't a 6'3 version of Ivan Calderon but he does have skills not sure if he could overcome the physical disadvantages. I've noticed plenty of talk regarding AJ's tendency to look "robotic" heck it worked for Wlad and AJ (in my opinion) seems to have more fast twitch muscles in his lower body when compared to Wlad with on par chins....actually I'd rate AJ's chin as superior at this point in their respective careers.

Of course AJ deserves a fight with Usyk, and vice versa too.

Usyk has one very good win at CW in the pros and at HW/SHW in the amateurs, but obviously he's never fought at HW as a pro. Joshua hasn't got any big wins in the pros yet but looks better than anyone else at HW at the moment.

I.E. neither is proven at HW yet.

But who is? Wlad is old / retiring soon surely, Fury unhinged, I'm not counting those two. Ortiz has some decent wins but is getting old, Povetkin likewise, Wilder hasn't really fought anyone, Parker has decent opponents but has struggled, etc.

I believe AJ has enough to tend to at HW regardless of the very "real" descriptions you've provided above. Wlad is long in the tooth but still viable, Povetkin would be a great win and Wilder vs AJ would be a barn burner despite the ridiculous opinions of a vast majority of posters on here.

Sorry but Usy vs AJ is completely unnecessary at this juncture in the game......
