Usyk said he is happy for it to happen in Dec but doesn't expect so.

 

Didn't he say the same thing last year when Fury offered him a fight in December?

I have injuries. I need to heal. Then he couldn't fight in the spring because Ramadan was coming up.

Couldn't he be training now if he suspects the fight could be in December?

This likely isn't happening until June next year.

 

The fight will likely take place in January.
Basically we were expecting it for March 2023 so we are more than a month away.

 

You know, this very well could be true. He's been one-fight-a-year-Usyk at heavyweight.

 

Usyk can do anything he wants. Fury doesn't care. Give him a Canelo diet for all Fury cares but the one thing you never do with someone like Fury or Usyk is give them confidence and it's Usyk giving Fury the confidence. This fight is almost all mental with a big physical advantage to Fury, why Usyk would give away a mental advantage so easily...it beggars belief. He shouldn't have fought Dubious either but his team aren't smart as they pretend to be. They did spin a good social media campaign plastering Fury as a duck but only fools fell for that.

I wonder how much longer this sport is going to stay alive once Canelo leaves?

 

I'm not a fan of Fury but i do find it a tad suspicious that this is the 2nd time specifically in December time frame, that Usyk has said the samething regarding not having enough time.

Nothing would surprise me anymore in this sport regarding fighters using PEDs.

What heavyweight needs THREE AND A HALF MONTHS to train for a fight? Seriously.

I could see it if you had to make weight in a lower division and you needed to drop 30 pounds, or you were starting camp as an obese slob. But this isn't the case.

Why aren't you training now? The Usyk-Dubois fight was two months ago.
