Everybody here takes for granted that fury ducked usyk . ( i also quess fury just bluffed calling usyk out , fury was not prepared for the fight ) but maybe we are all stupid and usyk is just a propaganda genius ?

The only FACT we have : USYK pulled out the negotations , not fury.

The negotiations would still be going on now if Usyk hadn't of pulled out as he realised he was wasting his time dealing with an idiot

No matter what Usyk agreed to,Luke would find something else to shift the goalposts as he had no intention of fighting the "middleweight"

Its quite pathetic that the few remaining Fairy fans desperately cling on to that FACT to justify your hero perpetrating the biggest duck in boxing history

I admire your loyalty & nothing more

I tend to have the same opinion but honestly it is just pure speculation . Nobody knows why he really pulled out . We all only know THAT he pulled out .
Everybody bashes only fury because usyk walked away ... it starts to get childish .

I like usyk ( but do not hype him ) . I just do not want to be naive and be screwed by ukrainian propaganda. He currently has a heavyweight record which is beyond aj close to nothing and fights a bum once a year. Nothing impressive up to now.

If you don’t find impressive that the man became the unified champion on his fourth fight as a HW, beating Holyfield’s record in the process, and did it against a much better fighter than Holyfield did, I’m not sure we have the same definition about impressive.

Nowadays it is fashionable especially in the Fury fan circles to c*** on Joshua and call him every name under the sun, but two things:

    1) Fury has been ducking Joshua since 2018 - he fought against Schwarz and then ultimately Wilder for much less money instead than face Joshua and he hasn’t faced him ever since, despite Joshua wanting the smoke

    2) Whatever you or me or anyone think of Joshua, he was the huge favourite - never mind the retrospective BS now about how he is a robotic overachiever bum yada yada. Back then, before the first Joshua fight, it was all the rage how he would expose Usyk for the fraud pumped up CW that he is, how Joshua is no Chisora, how it was the big boys league and Usyk will be knocked into retirement etc.

Go ahead, read any forums, any Reddit threads, any articles from before the first fight. And of course, whenever I mention this, the usual reply “oh, but I knew Usyk would beat him”. Funny how everybody kept talking about how Joshua is too big, too strong, too heavy for Usyk, but nowadays everybody saying how they knew Usyk would not only beat him but school him.

You don’t have to be a Usyk fan to appreciate that what he did against Joshua twice is easily the most impressive thing in the HW division this century. The last time a former CW was such an underdog against a natural HW was Holyfield against Tyson all the way back in 1996 indeed.

Wilder being he hardest punching HW in history is such a joke. I guess Edwin Valero must be the hardest punching LW in history.

Would be one thing id Wilder consistently faced top contenders and KO'd them. But beating a bunch of cans only impresses the ignorant.

 you cannot be serious. Do you just go by numbers? Don't give a damn about WHO he actually KO'd??

The WBC should have just made Usyk mandatory.

Idgaf if its in their rules or not. Would have saved so much bs.

Didn't they do that before when they let Lomachenko fight Luke Campbell for the vacant WBC belt when Lomachenko was already a World Champion with another governing body ?

I agree with you and give usyk full credits about beating joshua twice. He obviously found a way to use his superior skills and outbox aj . Impressive without any doubts .

But usyk need to proove he is ready to face any hw boxer . With his 4 fights against three opponents , two of them being bums and now the ultimate joke vs dubois , together with ukrainian propaganda of a 'mandatory' cover while in fact he is at least avoiding wilder he is yet to proove anything substantial in hw division.

When he does - great !!! But surely not against dubois.

He fought bums , he fought with heart against serious opponents . He defended the title several times over years.

While numbers alone are not anything they tell much . 46 fights vs 4 are drastic , espacially when usyk is obviously gunshy to face wilder .

wilders legacy in hw division is not comparable to usyks right now , i hope usyk will manage to earn respect. With hard fights , not ukrainian propaganda.
