Usyk would knock out Jeffries, Johnson, fitz or any man back then put in front of him from that period of time in less than 5 rounds, I love watching those fighters from back then but let's not pretend boxing hasn't evolved

"Usyk moves in straight lines like a lot of guys with extensive amateur careers"

"Usyk has a bad habit of circling his opponents, which would put him right in range for Burns to counter him"

So which is it... did he move in straight lines or in circles?

Anyway, I assume you think Burns would win by ko - since even you can't possibly believe he could win on points (but then again, nothing will surprise me anymore!)?

Sal the head boxing instructor, who was a regular sparring partner of Marquez at the time was there along with Mark Breland, Buddy McGirt, and Bernie Hopalian, who was Malik Scott’s trainer. Gerald Washington, and Dominic Breazeale were also at the gym at the time, but I don’t know if they were watching the sparring or not. That said I could tell even back then that Wilder had no respect for Breland and was surprised their relationship has lasted as long as it has.

Usyk would be a legend from the era. He’d do really well, and would be competing with the big names of the day. I think he’d lose to Johnson, and would have his plate full with Langford and Jeffries. Willard in a 45 rounder is a tough call too.

Did anyone write about it or at least mention it in interviews? I can't find anything about him knocking down Wilder (or any other heavyweights) in sparring. Wouldn't be impossible to believe but I didn't see anything on it.

Usyk would beat everyone. Langford would give him a good fight. Johnson might do his best to slow Usyk down, but he’d probably get badly out jabbed, and be forced to come forward, so he’d look horrendous.

I think Usyk would pick up some excellent scalps in the 70s, so I have little issue picking him to beat everyone in the 00’s.

Johnson has nothing to offer Usyk. Nothing. He’d be pretty awkward and that’s about it.

He’s the worst poster on here and an Usyk hater. No knowledge and no eye for the sport in the slightest, I have no idea why he even posts here to be honest.

Johnson would show Usky a whole world of clinching tactics, that he had never seen before, because they are not possible with modern gloves!

As I said, if I was getting Usky ready for this fight, I would actually have him sparring with MMA fighters!

You need to do more research into Anatoly Lomachenko’s training methods.

    Not really.

It is well established that MMA gloves permit a range of clinching tactics, that are not possible with modern boxing gloves.
