Usyk is a boxing Idol!

Do you really believe that? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'd just like to hear why you believe it. What would he be on a HW fight night, 205, 210 at a push? Personally, although I think he's a better boxer than any current HW, I just don't know if he could properly mix it with Joshua or Wilder. Happy to be proven wrong though, I'd love to see another name thrown into an increasingly tantalising heavyweight division.

For me, the hypothetical test is "Could I imagine them beating the Klitschko who Joshua fought?" Right now, I can only imagine Joshua and Fury doing it (obviously, my mind's eye is helped by the fact that both of them did beat Klitschko - before the Fury-Klit fight I thought Fury was gonna get KO'd). I just can't see Usyk's relative size not playing an integral part, and I'm aware he's not a small cruiser.

 

I think he be around220 if he goes to heavyweight... and yes I do believe it.. its clear watching him hesa way better boxer then any heavyweight like you said previously.. his power is not great buti think it would be respectable... as long as his chin is okay.. I don't see Joshua or wilder beating him to a decision... personally I think he might school Joshua... and make a joke of wilder ... hes like a bigger loma

 

I don't think any boxer on the planet rightnow could beat him to a decision actuallylol... the only chance of beating usyk is 2 catch him with a punch... weather your a cruiserweight or a heavyweight.

I dig it but, no one is fighting in Ukraine without boots, grenades and a AR-10. He has to fight abroad,his country is at war right now.

 

I’m not sold on him either. He’s tall and uses his height and controls distance very well. Let’s see if he can survive this tournament without gift decisions. He struggled against Hunter and Glowacki. His jab should be much better, and his combinations are wild slaps. He still has a mainly amateur style. Briedis is not very good. Let’s see how he does against young Gassiev in the finals.

Still, I think Gassiev will be a much better heavyweight.

It’s impossible not to notice that a lot of the overhype for him on this forum comes from the fact that he’s a funny guy, but also from gay crushes on him by the many well known hardcore gay posters on this site. I’m not judging. It’s just a fact. It was the same with the overhype for Sergio Martinez around here.

 

I like to watch Usyk fight, he has skills, can box, and yes, he has better skills than the heavyweights...............he will weight, at least, 220 at heavyweight, that's what Wilder the wino beater weighs......................he sure would out box Widler..............
