You obviously saw me and Hercegovac talking about the CW's, Kucher, Makabu and what awesome prospects they were because you're a creepy lurker. Now stop being so creepy.
I can't stand Haymon either but because he's desperately looking for as many matches as he can Americans are getting to see guys like McDonnell, Frampton, Huck etc that we don't usually get to see, so by default he deserves a little credit.
Kucher was a pretty big prospect a few years back, man Makabu really stole his thunder I remember it being a razor close fight, with a South African judge giving Makabu the nod. Btw took the words right out of my mouth as far as CTS80 is concerned
Am i a good shot for killing a few fish amongst hundreds in a barrel? Haymon is simply trying to flood the market UFC style thinking that if it's on every TV channel he can get the average US sport fans who will watch whatever sport is on to become regulars. Hence his ****genizing, dumbing down and ridiculous marketing and promo pieces for his "Premier" Boxing Champions. The occasional entertaining PBC fight has nothing to do with Haymon or their non existent match makers it's simply a statistical inevitability that a few will be good considering the quantity. Mediocre-garbage matchmaking and fights is the rule, good ones the exception, don't get it confused.
I fully agree with you on everything you said, but who cares he finally put CW's on TV, which isn't a bad thing. We can at least be happy about one thing inadvertently good he's done. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
A razor close loss isn't bad it's just he's with a small Ukrainian based promotional company and everything in Ukraine started happening afterwards. His inactivity the last two years as a result is what hurt him. He was Euro mandatory for Chakhkiev recently but Rakhim dropped the belt.
Makes no difference to me i would have seen it on Polish, Russian, German or whoever TV. US CW interest will most likely prevent the best fights from happening. YPH - Gemany Lebedev/Drozd/Kudryashov/ Chakhkiev - Russia Usyk/Kucher - Ukraine Makabu/Mchunu/Kalenga - S.A. / Monaco Wlod/Masternak - Poland etc
Of course you would have and I most likely would have as well probably after the fact on YT, but Cruiserweight is dead as a doornail here in The States, in fact many casual fans probably don't even know its a division, so it does please me to see them being showcased even a little.
Total apathy over here. I like the boxers and division so if US 'interventionism' and Haymon mediocrity is going to poison the quality then obviously i'm against it.
:huh Fully agree with this though, although I'd swap ''most'' with ''all'' :deal Yep, agree with this too. :deal :good Current list: Me You and the rest of the posters who belong in the bracket down from me. The nondescript masses Rats Roaches (insert letter word for male reproductive organ at the beginning, starts with a C and ends with a K) Parasitic worms and leeches People who don't like Lucas Matthysse Floyd/Ward groupies aka scum ATG list: Exactly the same but John Garfield (RIP) is about 50,000 places above me. :deal
What I'm hoping for although its most likely in vain that the exposure Haymon brings the division may in turn get HBO interested and since HBO and K2 are so chummy that might get Usyk a shot on one of their cards and possibly a few others, they're investing in Chocolatito so its not out of the question, they seem to be up for broadening their horizons, but in all actuality Haymon will probably control it and ruin it, so I'm not getting my hopes up too high.
A few adjustments. Fine your the ATG Poster but I'm the ATG thread starter.:deal And add the GGG and Kovalev haters below the cucarachas too and you're set.:thumbsup
What I would LOVE to see is a tradition of the CWs being forced to unify to then get any dominate champs to try their luck at HW for all the marbles. Shyte that would be interesting.
