He's not going to do it. He's constantly said he only wants Usyk and nothing else

...and they need a reason to actually sell that fight. He'll need to bring something to the table to justify the money, and Wardley/Dubios will present Fury with a low-risk belt he can use for unification. Low skill punchers are Fury's bread and butter.

Otherwise the fight simply doesn't happen.

The fight itself sells plenty of people will still watch it unfortunately. He won't risk any of the younger punchers, it's unlike him especially at this age. After Makhmudov Fury will call out Usyk for a trilogy and wait, meanwhile Usyk will fight Rico, Wilder, Fury again and then retire.

Is it really a risk though? They're not that good and even a worn Fury is too experienced to try and get into a war. He'll box his way comfortably to a victory.

I don't think a third fight gets made unless it's for undisputed. Both fighters will want too much

I think you are overrating Fury at this point. He is way past his prime and Usyk has already talked about fighting Fury in a trilogy a couple weeks ago. They don't care for undisputed it's just another money maker and Furys chance at beating the best in the division

I think people are underrating Fury. The Fury that showed up for Usyk 2 easily handles Dubios and Wardley short of falling off of a cliff and turning up to the fight with one arm.

If Fury can't beat fighters as limited as Wardley and Dubios he has no business fighting Usyk, and without a strap he brings zero to the table for Usyk to take that risk himself.

Probably depends what both go on to do - neither has much depth of quality right now...

It's easy to forget how quickly fighters can be dismissed as flash in the pan and hype when their moment passes - especially guys who haven't got very much on the resume.

    Depends what state he's in...

He's been put down by lesser fighters, and while Dubois is certainly vulnerable to quit by accumulation, it all depends what condition Fury can muster and how much output he has left...

On the one hand, yes he's arguably tailor made for the Fury of a few years back... A couple of KD's could easily translate into a loss, and that's not necessarily all that hard to imagine happens.

Would certainly be an interesting one!

Too many take these offhand hype comments way too seriously.

If we base the fight off all of their previous performances then the Fury from Usyk 2 steamrolls Dubios and promptly outboxes Wardley to a UD. I don't think Fury has yet deteriorated to the point where he loses to such basic fighters just because he lost two decisions to Usyk.

Which he absolutely doesn't deserve, without beating a viable contender first.
