As Eastern European I supported him against Bellew but the man should really listen to Wilder's warning to him that if he is smart he will stay at cruiserweight.

Usyk picks Fury to beat Wilder saying Wilder is a big puncher, but Fury is like a snake. After tonight he will understand why Wilder warned him.

Usyk needed a MD to beat Briedis. He doesn't stand a chance if he thinks he will move to heavyweight and outbox Wilder and AJ.

I disagree. Uysk is every bit cable of competing at heavyweight. He has both the amatuer background and physical talent to be trouble for anyone at heavyweight. We shall find out soon enough.

To early to say? I like Usyk and have some interest in the potential impact he could have in the current HW division. But if I am part of his team I am not throwing him in with Wilder, Fury or Joshua just yet.

Give him a gatekeeper type of fight, then a fringe contender then a legit HW contender or strap holder...then if his power translates as well as his ability to take a HW punch goes up with him....then we will know if he is ready.

He has the skill but it is premature to say yes or no unequivocally.

Yeah, olympic gold medalist, arguably the greatest cruiserweight of all time, and yet he is deluded to think he would do well at heavyweight, right.

C’mon I like Usyk but who is calling him the greatest cruiser? To me Holy and Qawi are the head of that division

Obviously Holyfield has a greater HW resume at this stage of Usyks career. However, Usyk just defeated a who's who of top Cruiserweights so is up there as one of the greatest CWs. Holyfield's HW record probably adds weight to his CW career putting him ahead of Usyk at this stage.

He can just move back down if his heavyweight pursuit is unsuccessful and it doesn't work out at all. It's better to do it and give it a go than dream and hold back.

He should be more than capable as long as matched well initially and makes a natural progression. Using Breidis as saying Usyk at heavy won't be any good is a silly argument.

The best cruisers will always be competitive at HW because normally they are better technically than most heavies.

Usyk, haye, holyfield would all have been right up there in the current HW division.

Breidis and dare I say it even bellew would have beaten a lot of the current crop.

That's not to say they would have won titles but competitive at least.

Usyk has decent power, just not the single shot ko variety.
