Not great considering Uysk seems happy to collect big pay checks to hand out losses to Chisora and Parker whilst Joshua rebuilds.
Zero. AJ is going for the patsy in Pulev. Easy money there and he will look good. Usyk will require more training, more effort.
I dont know i just hope they dont strip Joshua I'm thinking he fights Pulev to keep the IBF and also possibly enhance and build upon the boxing and less muscle strategy he employed vs Ruiz. I'd hate to see him re bulk up and undo everything he did for Ruiz in a Pulev fight After that the Fury and Wilder dust would have settled and hopefully without controversy So after that there is the following: Usyk is his mandatory, will he press for the fight? Whyte and the WBC, WBC and any other mandatories? Ruiz 3? Somehow I imagine a Joshua vs Fury/Wilder wont happen for about 8-10 months
I hope they strip Joshua if he doesn't fight Usyk. Because Usyk is almost 33. He's not getting any younger. Time is now.
I would rather see usyk fight another top heavy first to see where he is at but he won't he will want the Joshua fight because I think the chances of him losing to the likes of Parker or Chisora are very real.
It's a win-win situation for Usyk. If he loses he makes millions. If he wins, he wins the heavyweight title and makes millions.
I don't want titles to fracture Unification takes priority Usyk has done anything at hwt yet and I'd hate to see him get a freebie vacant belt I'd rather a unification and have usyk fight a top guy like whyte or rivas or Ruiz and then have usyk face a unified champion
Yes, this. Usyk has done more than enough to deserve a shot - he actually collected all the belts individually and defended them, has limited time and its within his rights to challenge for the HW titles. I still feel it was BS that Wlad and AJ managed to fight to unify titles when the combined amount of belts held by them going into the fight was one. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but I feel like they're really biding their time with Usyk/Wilder - I'd be far from surprised if things keep falling into place in a way that a fight keeps falling through until suddenly one of Usyk or Wilder start looking older.
Not a chance in hell AJ fights Usyk next, he'll go the Poolev route, Usyk will batter Chisora and Parker, AJ will probably lose again, and by that point, another superfight will go up in smoke.
AJ getting KO'd by anybody wouldn't shock me, but if I had to put money on it, I wouldn't put a dime on Poolev.
Kubrat Pulev would give AJ a lot more issue than anyone would have given him credit for BEFORE the Ruiz fight, maybe will surprise people less now though.
