Usyk is just superior to Fury isn’t he?

Its nonsense to carry his cw achievements to hw since its another game . While usyk was without any doubt a superb fighter in cw his resume in hw is still close to nothing .

He has beaten in hw only aj as a noteworthy fight .

old chisora , dubois and whitherspoon are not worth the discussion . With a resume of only 5 hw fights where every opponent except aj was weak and cherry picked its questionable if he deserves an undisputed hw shot at all .

I think some haters are starting to feel the same
Fury is a split personality and is a knob at times

However, when he is on, he is ON

People said Whyte was awful vs Fury. I agree he was awful, because Fury was prepared

I think Fury beats usyk and it's decisive. If I am wrong? I will eat crow and admit so. But I also have a feeling this will be a lot easier than many think and as much as it pains me to admit, but I still think Aj is the tougher fight for Fury stylistically, though I don't favour him

If Usyk is able to beat Fury fair and square I will be on here to congratulate him asap, let’s see how the haters/lunatics react on here should Fury win fair and square, judging by some of the BIG statements made repeatedly on here and derogatory terms for any form of Fury fans, this forum will be in complete meltdown and the content on here will be electric for a while !

Yep I'm the same, as I'm a boxing fan
I don't particularly like Aj, but if he ever bears Fury? I will give him his due , as I am a man and that's how it is

These weird lunatics are not fans, just weird haters. I can dislike somebody but still give credit when it's due

I'm picking Fury, but if I'm wrong? So be it, Usyk was the better fighter

    Yep me too
I have backed Fury, but Usyk if truth be told is the better guy for the sport, so he gets all props if he wins

Let's just hope the fight lives up to the hype

There is this tired old saying that 'good big 'un will always beat a good li'l 'un'. But the problem for Fury is that while he is a good big 'un indeed, Usyk is not merely a good li'l 'un but an ATG li'l 'un who was always going to beat any version of Fury.

One thing that makes this difficult... And I think most would agree, on some level...

Is if Usyk wins, it WILL be fair and square - he's one of the cleanest fighters in the sport.

If Fury wins... Will it be fair and square? Will it be clean and within the rules? Or will it involve rulebreaking and getting away with it (excessive hug and lean, etc)?

I just hope it'll be clear, clean and uncontroversial... Though I do think Usyk will win clearly on the cards.

I'll agree to disagree on that. Let's see how it plays out. Hopefully in a great fight.

I like Fury and when he is on his game he is the best heavyweight in the world IMO but he has been inactive and looked like total ass against Ngannou. Fury does look in good shape and I have a feeling that he is going to win but Usyk has been more consistent.

No Usyk isn't far superior. He wasn't far superior to AJ. And was saved from being KO'd by a ref.
He could win if the ref protects his weak gut again but that's not likely. Could it go 12? sure if he runs
for 12 rounds. Could he get the decision? Anything can happen in boxing anymore. But most likely
Fury will catch him with a body shot and win. Afterward many people on here will say Fury cheated
again because they hate him for no apparent reason.

    This post makes absolute sense.

Fury was cut, dropped and beaten up on by the debutant Ngannou.

AJ levelled that same debutant in less than 2 rounds. What an idiot Joshua is!

So very true, AJ doesn’t impose his big self like Fury is prone to doing,

Read: AJ doesn’t employ foul tactics using his sheer size in lieu of actually trying to outbox/out fight his man.

AJ fought an admirably clean fights against Usyk both times that allowed actual boxing matches to unfold. What a coward!

AJ didn’t even throw one single elbow at Francis. Absolutely no heart ticking inside that Joshua fella.

So many major strikes against Anthony.

Open letter to AJ - “Just sit on your ass man and talk yourself up big. Don’t be going out there and actually proving yourself - that’s not what a true fightin’ man does”.

There’s some serious coping mechanisms you’ve invoked there, the same kind the Big Dosser himself likes to bark out.

As Tyson might view you, have you ever thought about changing your name to “Mini Me”? Just drop the “q”, go <space> and add “Me”. Easy peasey.

Maybe Fury can wear a carry harness with you displayed at front during his ring walk to the strains of “Just the two of us…..”

Tyson can then set you down so that you can quickly scurry across the ring to kick Usyk in the shin before scampering back into Tyson’s protective, waiting arms…..:risas3:

Pretty much this. I think Fury is good, but has been vastly overrated based on actual achievements. He still hasn't actually proven he's the best of this generation yet. It's clear he has been avoiding Usyk, repeatedly ... Fury likes the title of being the man, but defends it in an extremely calculated manner.
Could you imagine Ali cherry picking and obfiscating in such a way? And yet some people put Fury in the same category. For shame. We bestow greatness so easily these days.
I think peak Fury v peak Usyk probably IS a relatively even fight. But Fury has been skirting elite competition for so long - and has a history of abusing his body - I think Usyk is gonna run rings around him. Usyk is twice the fighter and twice the man Fury is. Boxing deserves better.

You forget the second Usyk fight where AJ hammer fisted Usyks head? AJ is only sportsmanlike when he's winning.
