UK, Germany and Japan are not poor countries. In any event, Saudi and American money is still involved.

I don't think boxing is that big in Germany anymore, but I could be wrong. It is big in Mexico, which has the opportunity to become a rich country.

I don't see it. The only way he could have got there with his resume is to dominate everyone if not via knockout by lopsided decision. Thats how you get the most credit for a few wins and those fighters almost always have long padded records that Usyk doesn't. Most of his fights have been close(not controversial but close) and even the Dubois win had the whole foul thing. If someone is looking at Usyks resume without having lived through it looks horrible compared to other HW greats. Look at Wlad for example a rare great Usyk has real advantages over. Wlad lost to Fury and AJ while Usyk beat them and has 3 losses while Usyk is undefeated. But Wlads beaten 26 title contenders to Usyks 4 also beat the best of his era and was so dominant he spawned years of "is boxing dying" articles. Usyk can't be put above him and the same goes for all but the bottom end of lineal champs. And theres quite a few non lineal champs the same goes for. Usyk ain't better than no Jimmy Young or Fred Fulton.

Another big difference I have with the Usyk fans are people exagarrating how small he is and saying that him barely beating Fury and especially AJ are historic feats because of the size difference. Via this logic Chagaev and Haye are in the HW GOAT discussion for beating Valuev. Dempsey, Langford both Sharkeys, Tyson all overcame more serious size differences. The only reason no one else has beaten a 6 ft 9 champ is theres never been one and people are losing sight of that and acting like its the opposite. Beating Fury by a round in a fight he doesn't win without a knockdown months after a 0-0 fighter almost did the same is not an P4P ATG feat. Its marketing people are making a big deal of whatevers happening at the moment. The narrative about Usyks size is utter nonsense.

Theres honestly been hundreds of great fighters at HW and theres something wrong about putting someone with 5 total opponents at the weight class 10th. He didn't beat Foreman, Louis and Ali he beat Fury, AJ and Dubois.

Dubois going on to be the best fighter of the next era would obviously maximize Usyks standing in the future. Which I don't think will happen. But thats the only thing I can think of to move the needle even a little.

You are comparing him to Wlad, who lost to three bums in his prime, and squashed a bunch of diminutive guys?

    Quality over quantity.

All you do is fawn over Usyk.

He just went life and death vs a fighter who was almost ko'ed by a 0-0 MMA Palooka in his previous fight..................

I am no WK fan but Usyk aint going thru WK's HEAVYWEIGHT, not bum cruiser weight ,resume without picking up losses.

Uh, he is the first undisputed heavyweight champ in 25 years....the first of the four belt era, and that is after a similar feat at cruiser. This is the greatest fighter you will see for the rest of your days. If you didn't understand the magnitude of what he has accomplished, now you do.

And he didn't go life and death with anyone. He beat a guy six inches taller and 40 pounds heavier HANDILY. He should have got a knock out.

Not going through Sam Peter, David Haye, Chagaev....GTFOH.

He cannot stop a fly....................Heavyweights are supposed to put lights out, even the Bodybuilder gets Ko's..............Usyk is MIA in that regard and Dubois is another Brit Hype job.

Now , at lower weight classes I appreciate the weet science and have Mayweather in high regards despite low KO ratios but at Heavy you are supposed to murder other fighters and Usyk aint doing it

Usyk came up from a lower weight and is fighting and outclassing elite big guys that murder other guys their own size. The fact he is doing this at all is remarkable, expecting explosive one-punch KOs each and every time is a bit much.

All I want for Usyk is to retire asap. He is declining and getting up there in age now.

If he gives AJ a third fight I will be pretty disappointed, as it would seem a bit to me like hes selling his legacy a bit there. Gives me the same vibes as Canelo Golovkin 3.

The only fight I think Usyk should consider before he leaves is maybe a Parker fight.

    A) This has nothing to do with anything. Go watch barfighting.

    B) You take yourself completely out of the conversation when you say such idiotic things. Did you actually see the 9th round if the Fury fight or the 10th in the second Joshua fight? He could take guys out to if he wants, but he is a scientific boxer. He primarily lands more and does not get hit. His game is to fight flawlessly.

See you are just fawning, full stop, Usyk is your idol, I get it.

But he did not stop the way over rated Fury and did not stop the Bodybuilder .............................a fat tub of lard DID stop the Bodybuilder

BTW, Usyk is no defense wizzard, he gets lit up a lot.................he is strong willed with a great chin and rolls with punches but he definetly gets hit, you claiming he does not get hit is absurd.
