Usyk is only behind Floyd Mayweather in the last 20 years, surpassing Manny Pacquiao

Very good list, I also agree with Inoue... Monster has the potential to be Undisputed in three different categories in future.

I am just curious. Why Fury over Vitali Klitschko?

I'll say he is the best since Ray Leonard. Late 80s onwards would look something like this for me..

    1- Usyk
    2- Floyd
    3- Whitaker
    4- Pac
    5- Chavez
    6- Jones
    7- Hopkins
    8- Holyfield
After that it gets much harder to separate... Crawford, Inoue, Ward, Calzaghe, Gonzalez, Lewis, Tyson, Delahoya, etc. etc.

People are honestly crediting Usyk's size disadvantage to a tub of lard over Mayweather fighting men who actually were forced to be fighting fit and still held significant size over him. It's madness. Fury and no man that sloppy should even be allowed into the ring, whether they can win or not. It's a disgrace to athletes across the planet. Absolute pile of wankfluff.

It’s not a bodybuilding contest. Something tells me you were a big fan of james toney. I don’t know… just a guess! But were you saying the same stuff seeing toney’s horrid looking body against John Ruiz and rahman?? Or did you just watch him fight and most likely cheer him on?!

Riddick Bowe wasn’t exactly an Adonis either but beat the **** out of them regularly. Ask Holyfield and Cooper.

Fury looks like his diet consists of processed food and soda but the guy is a top shelf heavyweight and a very good boxer. But granted, he’s no prime Wladimir Klitschko. Lol

    1. You're missing the point that was being made because you're busy reverse-imagineering your poorly deducted reasoning.

    2. Okay, let's go into this idea about why you think I'd be a James Toney fan and why you'd find that vaguely relevant. Please, elaborate for us in open terms. Because Fury and Toney were both fighting as sloppy fat heavyweights who had porked up since their middleweight days and it'd be hypocritical of me to cheer one fatty's fat and not the other's? I'd love to address these notions after we hear why that is. Go on...

I'm always slightly reluctant to fully rate a fighter - ATG - until their career is over. That's why I could never understand the people who were so high on Fury when he still had work left to do. I wouldn't argue with anyone who has Usyk among those sort of names in the last 25 years - though I am not as high on Mayweather, personally, as some.

Floyd and Pacquiao are still firmly ahead of Usyk imo. Their bodies of work are just too vast and exemplary to be compared to Usyk, who, while undoubtedly a tremendous fighter, doesn't have the depth of resume to compete with Floyd or Manny. The guys Manny beat like Morales, MAB, Marquez, Thurman, Larios, Cotto, Broner, Margarito, Hatton, Ledwaba, Sasakul, ODLH, and Bradley just blow away Usyk's wins over Fury, AJ, Dubois, Briedis, Gassiev, Huck, Glowacki, and Bellew. Pac also fought the bulk of his career on the road and at a significant size and reach disadvantage like Usyk so they're pretty square in that department. Usyk of course should rank very highly among 21st Century ATGs but he does have some very stiff competition who have more than solid arguments to be ranked above him. The likes of ODLH, B-Hop, Wlad, Ward, Canelo, Chocolatito, FMJ, Pac, Crawford, Lennox, JMM, or Inoue are all neck-and-neck with Usyk in my view.

It's amazing how Floyd's diva behaviour has blinded folk from his actual ability. It's why modern fighters mostly name him as having the best defence and iq

I could post videos of Floyd doing pull counters among other techniques and I will challenge anyone to show a fighter today that looks as technical, especially defensively

Hate the man all you want, but Don't deny his skills. Roy Jones had a better prime due to being a freak and there are many other great fighters with attributes better than Floyd, but as far as being a technican and general I.q? There has been nody better in the last 30 years I have watched the sport

His understanding of boxing is at the highest level. Usyk, Hopkins, loma, Lewis and many more are masters, but Floyd is a Grand master

No fighter is perfect, but technically he is close. Guys a tool but he is also a boxing genuis. In 9 fights during his prime his compubox numbers were plus 30%, which is insane

The highest today is Stevenson against subpar opposition with plus 20. Even great boxers like loma and bivol are plus 17%

I know these numbers are not perfect and doesn't tell the full story, but it backs up how technically great Floyd was In his prime. Yes he had reach on his opponents, but that's like saying Ali had speed, or Fury has size. Floyd had great dimensions and he used them perfectly
