Usyk is only behind Floyd Mayweather in the last 20 years, surpassing Manny Pacquiao

Usyk passed Floyd a while back.

 

Floyd is well above Usyk in my opinion. To be so dominant without fight ending power is startling, Usyk is brilliant but nowhere near his level for me.

 

P4P doesn't exist. It's a crutch used by fans of smaller Fighters to fantasize about them beating the HWs. The actual reality is Usyk & all his opponents would destroy the little pip squeak & all his opponents too.

 

Usyk is certainly above Floyd .
Floyd never fought the best in their prime, he also cherry picked and arguably has 2 L’s on his record.
Usyk on the other hand european gold , world gold, olympic gold medal winner ,Mohamed Ali Trophy winner , unified cruiserweight champ, Unified HW champ. He also did it all on the road and without controversies .
Usyk >> Floyd Maywether.

 

Floyd had a reach advantage over almost all of his opponents.

 

Manny’s wins don’t blow away Usyk’s.

Usyk fought some very good prime opponents at CW.

They just don’t get celebrated, because most of them haven’t got the name value that a lot of Manny’s opponents have.

As a very quick example, the win over Oscar wasn’t anywhere near as Usyk’s top CW wins. Simply because they were very good fighters who were in their primes, whereas Oscar was completely done. He couldn’t even rehydrate properly.

So Usyk has top wins. But the CW division has never gotten much exposure. And especially as most of the guys are European.

Crawford’s a great fighter. As is Inoue. But they haven’t got the resumes that Usyk has. They haven’t took on the same kind of challenges. And neither has Ward.

If you’re ranking guys on ability and resume, those guys aren’t neck and neck with him at all.

How can Crawford and Inoue be above him?

 

We can’t start imagining fighters at different weights and sizes though.

It’s beyond the realms of the fantasy isn’t it.

If you changed their dimensions, then they’d just be different fighters altogether.

Fun to speculate, but not realistic.

Canelo has a very deep resume.

But you can argue that Usyk has a better group of wins.

 

Floyd is greater than Usyk and Usyk is greater than Pacquiao. Many more greater than Pacquiao.

 

Usyk hasn’t got fight ending power.

Usyk is an incredible technician.

He’s took on the bigger challenges too.

However, Floyd was a genius himself, and at the moment, he’s got the deeper resume.

Everyone knew ray Robinson as a welterweight could never be Heavyweight champ. However, it was easy to tell he was better than the champ, hence p4p. It isn't soley about accomplishments
