He's the only guy who has cleaned out his own division without weight bullying (ie Crawford) and is now fighting above his natural weight class. The opposition Usyk fought at CW was also high quality, not cherry picked or aged/past prime (Canelo) .

We see guys like Crawford, Spence and Canelo building their whole career off of weight bullying. Pathetic, but so many casuals fall for the hype. It's high level fraud to be honest

    I agree.

On paper Canelo's resume is better but in reality he should of lost Lara and and GGG x 2.

I'd argue spence should of lost to Thurman, beat a spent Brook and only real notable win is against Garcia.

Crawford unified the at the time a very weak divison and not to his fault is being frozen out by the PBC guys.

Usyk is amazing. He reminds me of old school boxers who fought behind a jab and moved around to comprehend the dimensions of their opponents style. Tony Tubbs, Larry Holmes, Tony Tucker, Jimmy Young etc. He's a fine addition to the heavyweight division and would probably give Fury more problems than anybody else in this division ever could

If he was in CW and had agreed to fight vs Dorticos and Briedis then for sure he was PP candidate for NO1.
Whiterspoon fight pulled me to think about his current speed level.

    He's got a strong argument.

Cleaned out a good division. No controversy.

Sadly, I suspect he will still not win PFP top spot if he beats all of the big HW fighters. He’s fighting much bigger guys these days and needs to be in top form to continue winning. I’m pulling for him, he’s an interesting character and is fun to watch. He lacks power at HW but is skilled enough to do damage. Hope we get to see him against AJ or Fury. At least he’s not ducking the top guys like so many paper champs in other divisions.

Well, yeah, prime Usyk at CW had fought every one he had been given to fight with. Still, barely close win vs Briedis, this fight he had won barely and if Briedis had better promoter then then Usyk had lost this one on cards for sure.

If he had fights at CW with Dorticos and Briedis ( rematch fight ) he might be top 1 -2 in CW division for sure.

Fury will give him the same treatment Wlad gave Povetkin(minus the knockdowns). AJ will knock him out.
