I hope you just are without knowledge about WBSS and therefore are using term Backyards.
WBSS did not had used hometown judges, referees or fight inspectors for these fights.
If Usyk had been " forced " to fight in WBSS in backyards this is his own fault to get enough $ from live gates in Kiev and now this weakness level is used to promote him as " backyards beater ".

    And didn't gave him remach.
If clear beatup for you and Usyk's promoters and Egis Co team is 20 more landed jabs I congratulete reality: professional boxing is entertainment business to entertain boxing experts in cubicles, forums and YT commets authors etc.
Btw I do agree that Usyk had won this one.
What from this? Pro boxing orgs belts and fans posts matters 0 in real life.
Nothing and you as niche entertainment business fan are client here. Nothing more.

I will tell you how Usyk clearly had beated Briedis.

It is marketing and advetisement business.

Usyk is from larger country and therefore he had won this fight fairly on cards.

Usyk will get stopped by lads like Fury or A.J in distance and then might move back to CW and clearly beat Briedis with now better managment :D or Dorticos.

Both of them will beat Usyk COLD in distance if he will show up in shape he had vs Whiterspoon or Chisora.

    Usyk is HYPED.

This is why I have him at #1, and he’s ridiculously underpaid for what he’s accomplished

Regardless to this CW likes me a lot, also Usyk of course.
This division did had so large ammount of lads willing to fight everyone they had been gived to fight with in pros and semi - pros.

Well looks that division and promoters/ marketing matters more than real boxing.
Ruiz had TKOed A.J and A.J get rematch and had win on points.
For business this is enough and cool.

Usyk just had beated Briedis on points and had been hyped up like clear division cleaner for fans.

    Don't you see disparity?

Btw boxe is not place where you might prove your masculinitiy at all.
Pro boxing is business to entertain people posting in forums, commenting in forums etc like thing.

Yes I know boxing’s a business, but that doesn’t change the fact that he should have a lot more money for what he’s done. Just shows how ridiculous the business side of boxing has made things

Pro boxe is just entertainment business.
Therefore for example Conor vs Floyd Jr. might had been sold.
    Just one example here.
Name, boxer's origin, country, fanbase, every thing here matters a lot regards to purse.
Therefore some guy get less for a world tittle fight vs undefeated champ in his real prime than someone another for non tittle fight etc.
Business. Like to show in cinema film and sell tickets, to do reastaurant business or pawnshop business, doesn't matter.

    Sadly.

Agree. Still feels odd not to see Lomanchenko in that list.

It does. He's still ranked p4p #7 by The Ring, though

Ofc this business is ridiculous and fans not rarerly too. For example low attention for CW division where the best guys fought the best guys without cherry picking.

If based on accomplishments ofc Usyk is great and also these Dorticos and Briedis are very good and accomplished boxers.

Usyk in ammies was World Champion and Olympic Gold medalist.
Was 6-0 in WSB semi pro tournaments.
Pro record at CW was 16-0-0 ( 12 KOs ) and he was 7-0 in World title fights. Had won Ali trophy, was Undisputed.
Accomplishments : he is very good.
If he was from U.K or U.S he definitely had more money from boxing fights at CW division.

Usyk is absolutely superior to Canelo in every way.

Canelo is only a bigger star because American capitalism now profiteers off of the ''Mexican market''.

If Canelo was Ukrainian, he'd be a top fighter, but would have lost a number of fights by now and definitely wouldn't be an ''A-side'' diva.

Usyk's win over Gassiev was more impressive than anything Canelo has ever done.
