Good post! What makes ot even more impressive is that he beat all his opponents on the road fighting them in their own backyard on front of hostile crowds.....unlike most protected american fighters
Well spoken.Briedis knocked the present wba heavy title holder out and Huck had a bloody close fight with a prime Povetkin
Nobody. The division is very weak, Breidis going life and death with the ghost of Mike Perez and then nearly beating Usyk is all we need to know about how these guys will fare at HW.
Very true. When a champ travels like that, it is a real credit to them and Usyk at CW has imo proven himself as the top CW ever.
A division is always considered weak when you have a clear dominant champion. For example many go on about the HWs during Ali, Fraser, Foreman days but what that was, was evenly matched fights where each ones legacy was almost enhanced by the other. A bit of a round robin. So people say you have 3 legends where if there had of been, say Lennox Lewis back then and he was to clearly beat all 3, there would only be one legend and people would say the division was weak due to a dominant champ. If you know what I mean?
Very weak,eh! Briedis brutally knocked one of the present heavy weight champs out when they fought in Chechnya. Tells you a lot about a erak weight division ,eh!
Why is it that most people who claim CW is weak seem to always admit they haven't even watch many of the fights?
Because they're ignorant, yet think that having a platform to air their views means their views are worth airing.
Very good point. It's the curse of dominant champs to always be seen to be competing in a weak era. Fans love rivalries and well-matched slugfests at the top level, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the top level is the same across eras.
almost totally unknown inside the states. but to be fair, every active boxer is unknown in the states.
You're darn tootin' he is and if he was on the juice he'd be the greatest fighter of the last 25 years and if he was on as much juice as that walking PED factory Evander ''The Steroid Commander/Serial Philanderer'' Holyfield was, who had horse muscles bulging out of horse muscles, he would be the greatest fighter to have ever walked this earth and that's a FACT, btw.
