Call me crazy and deluded but CW Holyfield vs Briedis would be a 50/50 fight, Briedis is seriously underrated

We have to remember that historically, CW was never deep, and it's only been around for about 40 years. Same kind of problem SMW had before Ward, Froch, etc. got there, as Calzaghe was really the best SMW ever before they all got there. So, Evander has kind of been the defacto pick and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that he was so successful as a HW, and it's less to do with his actual resume at CW.

Adamek got some good work done at cruiser which gets overlooked, but now Usyk has surpassed his resume, and Usyk is now so superior head to head that I think its pointless to rate the two comparably.

Now Holyfield is his only rival for the distinction. If Usyk hangs around doing work for another year or two he can put it beyond debate.

It goes without saying that the wins over Qawi are great, and the win over Carlos De Leon is good too, but victories over Ricky Parkey and Henry Tillman don't do a whole lot for me.

****!!!!! I just got home from work, forgot the fight was in Russia and time zone difference, and missed the whole friggin' thing. What a faceplant. And, as usual, my prediction wasn't even within a 20 square mile radius of the ball park. I just made a thread about Dimitry Bivol, and have been really impressed with him, I really hope I didn't just jinx/curse him.

As awful as I am at picking fights, the "holyfield vs. breidis is a 50/50 fight" crew are ****ing around right, like that's all a blatantly obvious joke/sarcasm, right?

    Frazier.
    Povetkin.
    Haye.
    Holyfield.
    Ali.
    Dorticos.

    Etc...

I'll be honest, who do you rate higher than him? It's historically one of the weakest divisions in boxing.. Toney would have an argument if was there longer than a fart in the wind. Jirov lost to Toney, kind of screws that up... thought he might be the 2nd best.

I mean.. yeah.. Usyk has accomplished more than any other CW ever.. and I'd argue the division is better than it's EVER been.

He'd beat Haye and Bell, be 50/50 with Nelson, Adamek and Holy would win.

Lebedev and Huck both are up there for some time, now with Breidis, Gassiev and Usyk.

Yes is leading no, 32-12. (which is a damn sight closer than Usyk vs. Gassiev was :sisi1)
