BTW, Holyfield was great at CW, but I think head-to-head Usyk's wins are better than Holy's wins. I'd love to see a prime Toney vs Usyk. That'd be a fun fight.
Haven't seen the fight yet. Usyk probably has style edge in a head to head, Holyfield was quite poor vs Slick southpaws.
He beats all of them, I never understood why Adamek moved to heavy, he was clearly too small as displayed vs Vitali
Usyk has cleaned up in the current most stacked, strongest division in boxing. That has to be taken into consideration. He's the greatest cruiser for sure! He's broke all the records and beat them all and took their undefeated records in their backyards. Usyk is a G.
guys like Haye, Huck, and Nelson can't even be but in the same discussion as Usyk, he's by far surpassed them. He's the greatest cruiser ever.
Yes until thirteen years ago, long after Holyfield moved up to heavyweight to put the finishing touches on his ATG legacy. The first cruiser world title match contracted at the new divisional cap of 200lbs was in April of 2005, when Jean-Marc Gilbert Mormeck defended his WBC title and unified it with the inaugural WBA cruiser title against Wayne Braithwaite.
Lets see how Usyk fares when he leaves the baby pool and steps up to HW before making such claims. Holyfield is still easily out in front.
