Yup. We all know that the triangle theory doesn't work, but its kind of like jerking off--you don't have to be proud of it but everyone does it. Usyk won a wide decision VS Hunter. Hunter drew with Povetkin. Povetkin knocked out Whyte. Whye was the acknowledged as the WBC interum champ. Whyte beat Parker. Parker beat Ruiz. Ruiz is 1-1 with Joshua. No, I am not saying that Usyk is the best out there, but he is clearly a legit part of the "parity" side of the division : PARTY SIDE: Joshua Povetkin Whyte Parker Ruiz Usyk CLARITY SIDE OF THE DIVISION FURY WILDER ORTIZ Tough to see how the two sides come together, since the only guys who have bridged that gap to fight in both are Klitschko, Chisora and Brezeale. As for Usyk, not only does he have Hunter, but Breidis and Huck, who have both competed credibly at heavy, and Joyce and Majidov in WSB pro-style fights, so he is hardly and unknown commodity. When Joshua fights Fury, I fully expect the WBO to split off the belt for Usyk and Parker to fight for.
Thanks. If you don't mind I am going to change my premise statement. I could have swore it was a stoppage.
Hunter has become a different fighter since moving up to heavyweight. The weight cut to stay at cruiserweight was just too much, as he gassed badly vs Usyk.
