The fact that with his enormous physical deficit he dominates the heavyweight category. He doesn't do any damage with his amateur style he could do 15 rounds against a punching bag it would amount to the same he would never KO him. Everyone looks heavyweights only to see power. Objectively it is the weakest category of boxing (by far). If Usyk would be in another category I wouldn't have said anything. But frankly his fights are not at all exciting for a heavyweight.

Rubbish. Third best heavyweight decade ever.

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...-decade-in-heavyweight-boxing-history.725731/

Are we going to go back to the color line? Joe Louis endlessly squashing the bum of the month? Marciano pounding old guys? Patterson fighting the bottom of the barrel? The obese drug-addict era? The Klit brothers beating up a bunch of midgets?

This era has a couple of dozen guys with real and diverse skills competing to be in the running for that Turkyi money. It is a great era, and Usyk is a great king!

It's either "Heavyweight era is weak" if a man wins or "Boxing is dead"....

I think people are overstating his size disadvantage. He is 6'3 @ 226 pounds with a 78 inch reach. Tyson was 5'10 @220 with 71 inch reach.

The division has been exposed though, and anyone who knew boxing knew this era was weak. Wilder was a top 3 HW for crying out loud.

    Baba tears here
    Baba tears there
    Baba tears everywhere

I think I will be submitting a request to the big fellas up in admin come early 2025 regarding creating a separate Baba Tears subforum for all the babas to go and sob and weep in to help them cope with their Usyk Derangement Syndrome aka FOG (Fear of GOAT)

Mike Tyson never fought anyone that was 6`8-9 and 280lbs, with an 85 inch reach, Frank Bruno had an 84 inch reach but was the same height as Usyk and weighed far less than Fury does plus Fury is very quick.

Do you actually know the meaning of the word "objectively"?

If Usyk was North American and had achieved everything he has in just 23 fights and in the manner he has done so never having fought at home in any of his fights at the world level and having run through a murderer's row of murderous punching KO artists, legit bangers and giants twice his size (slight exaggeration), and absolutely murderous punching giants twice his size whilst never having been really hurt, KD, in danger of going down or stopped (low blow doesn't count) and become HW champ four months before his 35th birthday and undisputed at 37 y/o in the land of giants he would be deemed and revered as a god and be the biggest star in boxing and all this talk of ''weak eras" would only be whispers by few in the shadows

A lot of heavyweight boxers don't know how to box, if you're out of the top 30 it's total nothingness.

In what era were there good fighters that couldn`t make the top 30? Name those fighters, when the hell did boxing have depth like that?

Its all relative. Frank Bruno had a bigger reach advantage over Tyson than Fury had over Usyk, for example. Mikes opponents were bigger compared to him than Usyks opponents are, apart from Fury being obese. Also Fury is only 6'7 and just lies about his height.

Many people were saying this was an awful HW era well before Usyk came along also.

Fury v Usyk looked like a man vs a boy and Fury is quicker than anyone Mike Tyson fought, certainly quicker than Bruno.

Usyk is just an excellent well rounded fighter with an extraordinary gas tank.
