Thick post.. it hasn't just happened at HW.. for example fighters like Sergio Martinez moved up from WW/SWW to beat men like Pavlik at MW.. not because it sucked, but because he was gifted with unique skill & ring craft.. & even in Lewis' era smaller men like Byrd & Holyfield were taking scalps anyway... just cos Usyk is dominating doesn't mean its ****... it just means you cant understand Usyk.

A Billy Conn who had no amateur career and had only taken up boxing just seven years earlier and who weighed less than Terence Crawford did for his 154 debut and 10-12lbs less than Clenelo, was whooping a 30lbs heavier Joe Louis' ass and hurt him badly despite sporting a hideous KO 23%, prior to eventually wilting in round 13 after eating about 50 flush power shots in quick succession

Here's David Haye getting dropped like a sack of potatoes by a KO 30% SMW journeyman who was 0-4-1 in his last 5. Haye was so badly hurt he had to rugby tackle said journeyman to the canvas to buy more time for his head to clear and in order to avoid a KO loss when the ref waved it back on

Since when do we listen to the fighters opinions on who won a fight? The official score cards had it 7-5 and 8-4. That is a close competitive fight.

The rematch v AJ wasn`t that competitive and Usyk finished that fight dominating the final rounds.

So you agree with the judge that picked AJ then? That fight was not close enough to be a split, that judge should be fired, AJ is nowhere near Usyk`s level.

I think I had it 7-5 or 8-4 for Usyk. It was a competitive fight. Nowhere near his level? Nah was too competitive for that. Usyk had the edge over him though just like Fury. Nowhere near the level would be Mayweather v Canelo.

12-0 can be competitive. If the guy winning all the rounds has to work really hard to get the slight edge.

Usyk is so much more skilled than AJ it hurts, only success AJ had was down to his reach and power advantage, AJ is not a skilled boxer, he`s just explosive.

I agree but fighting is all about the package. Skill and attributes.
