I was surprised last night by how often Usyk cried to the referee. I don't just mean the disputed low blow but various other punches. It was weird and off-putting, reminiscent of the one & only Sven Ottke. Not a huge deal -- the obviously better fighter won the bout -- but I hope he won't make a habit of it.
Sure, I like him too. I haven't noticed it as much in the past. It's beneath a fighter of that caliber to behave that way.
