I hope Parker will give a boxing lesson to Dubois. Then we will have a great boxing match between Usyk and Parker.
I'm sorry but for me, and I've always been a huge fan of Parker, there is a lot of revisionist posting about Joe. He has had two very good victories which I suspect history will diminish. He beat a big punching old man with no engine; for me Zhang loses every round against the likes of Usyk, and I suspect Dubois outbixes him from behind a safe, sickening jab before maybe stopping him late, and Wilder. Wilder. A shot version of a one trick pony who doesn't even bring his pony to the rodeo anymore. He went deep and dirty with Whyte and Del, and got banged out by Joyce, who I really rated at that point. Now, I am not uncharitable. He is clearly not the same fighter he was in those fights. He is cute, clever, sharp punching, but neither is Dubois the same fighter. I've never seen a fighter learn so much from his losses and improve so exponentially from his wins. I really think Daniel will bust up Joe, really beat him up and stop him sometime after 8. Terms and conditions apply...Joe might also win....hahaha
Dubois looked like a doubly disrespectful bellend. One, interrupting Usyk like that. Two, treating Joe Parker as though he’s just a tune-up with no chance — I suspect this will NOT age well.
Interrupting the post fight interview was crass, disrespectful and ill judged in my opinion. Totally unnecessary.
Dubois def. put up to it without genuine edge it seemed but he’s still accountable for his words. Even if someone begged Usyk to speak in similar fashion for the sake of promotion, Usyk wouldn’t compromise his character and principles - strangely, for some, that apparently makes Usyk boring. Imo, hardly. Usyk is terrific ambassador for the sport and often very funny.
Oleksandr Usyk '''When someone who doesn't know me tries to be rude or offend me, I know that he is going to lose''
I mean hell, you can kinda make the argument even Witherspoon did better. He had nowhere near the very little success Dubois had, but hey... at least he made it to the end of the round before he quit
It's not just Dubois it's his team, specifically Don Charles who I used to like prior to all of this and his son George Fox. Charles was very disrespectful towards Usyk and said some disgusting things about him question Usyk's faith and calling him a liar and a cheat and Fox behaved like an absolute bellend trying to grab his 15 minutes of fame. That's the same Don Charles who Dubois morphed into the dirtiest fighter in the division under his tutelage. The irony of them calling Usyk a cheat They lost Dubois a lot of support because Usyk is loved and respected by many in the UK and around the world for not only his fistic prowess and achievements but for his character, integrity, humbleness and just being a genuinely all-round good guy and they inadvertently summoned Dark Usyk and he came in with bad intentions and wanted to punish Dubois for their totally needless and unwarranted disrespect and it backfired big time. British fans are also aware of how Belly treated Usyk and how disrespectful he was to him and AJ during his post fight meltdown too and we have seen a lot of disrespect from British media members and fighters and ex fighters too. Both of those lost a lot of fans and support due to that too Simon Jordan keeps picking Brits to beat Usyk and then as soon as Usyk proves him wrong everytime he starts making excuses and refuses to praise him or does so before immediately trying to discredit him shortly after and the worst part about it is how Usyk has conducted himself on all his trips to these hallowed shores, impeccably. The excuses have predictably already started for Dubois just like they did after both AJ and Belly fights.
I figured there was some real antipathy between the two when they didn't make any contact with each other after the KO.
