The media starts to gain now momentum and the pressure on usyk rises . No more excuses and manouvers . When usyk claims he is the champ he needs to go out and show it . Accept the fight with kabayel and if you are really that good than of course beat kabayel . As simple as that.
I think the critics generally complain about usyk taking a softer fight when he’s only fighting once a year at best. If your fighting 2-3x a year or more, it’s easier to handle the softer fights
it’s called prize fighting. part of the prize is money. so what if Usyk takes an easy fight? I fail to see the problem.
The outrage is that he only fights once a year and often rematches opponents who don't deserve it while other more worthy contenders miss out. Others were at least more active. Usyk's last opponent was a soft touch he'd already beaten, now he's fighting Wilder who has lost most of his recent fights. It's simply a bad look.
If that's your only fight of the year, it's not good. Easy touches are Ok when a guy fights 2-3 times a year.
My issue with Usyk is that he his driven by money just as much as Fury ever was. He has been champion for over 4 years now. And has fought 3 different guys. Preferring to drop belts than give guys who have earnt a shot/their chance. Some don't want to see it but every move he makes has been driven by the bottom line since he stepped up to heavyweight. Now, he also demonstrated he is an ATG by beating both Joshua and Fury, but let's not sugar coat it. He will be heading into his 5th year as champion by cherry picking Wilder after cherry picking a rematch with Dubois, which is again only driven by money. If he wanted a stronger legacy he would have let Dubois v Parker happen; if he wanted a stronger legacy he would be fighting the winner of Wardley v Parker next (as he previously said he would). Okay, so he wants to drop the belt, to fight Kabayel?...Nope, instead, he is chasing Wilder... He is and has been killing off an already stagnating division with these antics. We would be better off if he just retired at this point. It's boring
there was mild controversy with Dubois with the low blow, granted I thought it was low rematch left 0 doubt
and most people with belts don’t fight 2-3 times a year I am failing to see the issue here it feels like unjustified hate
Clowns crying does not count for controversy warranting a rematch. It was a KO victory in a one sided beat down.
