Lomachenko has lost to an old guy, dropped in his prime, struggled with Campbell. His best wins are Gary Russell Jr and Nicolas Walters. Both flatfooted fighters. He's not the most skilled fighter in history. 130-135 Mayweather would have played with him and then stopped him. Lightweight Duran would've retired him. Some of you guys are strange.

Duran stayed on the line in front of his opponents too much though.

I'm fully aware of the painful history of Ukraine, from the Bolshevik uprising and mass famines etc...to the present day fighting.

My point is, regardless, when you say "American fighters", not "some American fighters", or "American fighters from a particular philosophy", you are making a broad, blanket statement.

This is a stupid thing to do.

Sorry, you don't lecture Americans about pedigree in boxing.

They've produced (some of?) the most talented fighters in history.

    WTF are you talking about?

Soviet fighters have by and large stayed amateur as a career, only the last 20 years have we seen the elite go full time pro, perhaps a little longer.

The US has a vastly much more larger population than the Ukraine, hence in theory a deeper talent pool.

However Loma and Usyk along with Gvozdyk are some of the stand out fighters in their respective divisions.

Lomachenko would have been bar far Mayweathers best opponent at 130/135 (as would Mayweather for Loma), Mayweather arguably lost the first Castillo fight and not only went the distance with lesser opponents than Loma but arguably struggled to at times.

Mayweather doesn’t have an easy time and certainly isn’t stopping Loma if they hypothetically fought and the same can be said for Loma.

Yet, 90% of these fighters hire an American trainer as soon as they make it to the top.

Usyk needs to stop being so trusting. Malik Scott is one of his main sparring partners and he uses him regularly for his fights, that's the same Malik Scott who is very close friends with Booleg Dorticos aka Bum Squad and is one of the spies he boasts about having who feeds him intel.

Usyk said he still wanted to fight a juiced Tyrone Spongle but it was shot down.

I don't agree with what your implying, but this is true. Pre DeJesus Duran imo wasn't half as skilled as the one that showed up for Palomino or Leonard. His head and foot movement developed through his LW reign.
