No they didn´t. The round was precisely 3 minutes from bell to bell. The onscreen clock was just off, which happens often.
Don´t believe me? Go time the round yourself.

No, it's quite hilarious with all these threads from Fury fans trying to salvage something from the loss to Usyk. Joshua and Fury have had five shared opponents, and Joshua had done better against some and Fury has done better against others. But to really separate them we need to see them against each other.

Yep. And all the "Wilder would probably beat so an so" was transferred to Fury for beating him, but in actual reality they have beaten something like five ranked opponents between them.

I know, I know, we have been over this with two other posters.

It was partially a joke, but the round had a similar feel in which Usyk was putting a huge shellacking on a much bigger man at a critical moment, this time at the end of the fight to punctuate things.

I thought of this round during the 9th of the Fury fight.

Having 5 opponents in common is more thorough than triangle theory. Heptagon theory?

Sure you didn’t. You’re lying. You read it all, you simply don’t have any valid counters to offer. Cop out....

Show me proof as to my being an AJ fanboy. Utter BS. You simply bark that **** out at the drop of hat because you have nothing to offer otherwise.

    Again, NO meat.

    By my own logic?

Shirley, you can’t be serious! Lol.

I obviously HIGHLIGHTED the logic employed by Fury fans (viz: toughest fight = best opponent) and applied it elsewhere to see if they like how it flies in other examples.

You MISSED or IGNORED that obvious fact??? Lol.

Clearly, YOU (the Fury fan) don’t like how it flies IF Fury isn’t the beneficiary of said logic.

That makes you a hypocrite who doesn’t apply their “standards” and “criterion” uniformly.

No loss or fight complexion is ever removed - duh - BUT reversing an outcome via rematch is a reasonably accepted form of redemption.

Why the **** do you think Fury is slated to rematch Usyk in December??

As if YOU, being a BIG Fury fan (fanboy?), now allegedly “reformed” (lol) wouldn’t rejoice in a Fury win over Usyk by whatever means Tyson employed to secure that win?

You’d be happy if Tyson won by hugging and mauling Okek to death. Beam me up Scotty.......

Lewis’ KO losses to McCall and Rahman are still on his record (check Boxrec if you don’t believe me) but Lennox did IN FACT reverse both losses and repair himself.

I mean, just SKIP the REAL logic that Joshua did in fact rematch Ruiz and defeat him. Amazing rejection of FACTs.

Fury has yet to even rematch Ngannou - his “toughest” fight and therefore, via Fury Fan Logic, his “best” opponent.

It’s often necessary for Fury fans to suspend such realities and contradict themselves in order to float their man.

Denial, denial, denial. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

And NOTHING will change the fact that Fury got dropped on his ass and beaten up by a pro debutant who was subsequently flattened in < 2 rounds by Joshua in his next fight.

And NO, Usyk didn’t actually say that Fury is better and if he thought same it would’ve been simple enough for him to state it exactly.

Usyk did however, state emphatically and concisely that Fury was afraid of him and ducking him - do you hang on to and hug those sentiments just as tightly????

But...you can “cling” on to your preferred “interpretation” if that helps to soothe your emotional post fight wounds caused by Fury’s loss to Olek. Lol.

You know, Joshua and Fury actually fighting each other will provide for the best possible answer, someone else said same and I’ve also said it also - interesting that you haven’t once floated and entertained that obvious proposition.

Why would you not mention that?

Answer: Because being a Fury fan is very much about hypothesising his advantage - it’s NOT so much about him actually proving it in the ring.

And when he does get in the ring and fails to prove his hypothesised advantage...the excuses for him come flying in, thick and fast....

Sure, he was still putting it to Joshua but I don’t think he was embarrassed or as severely beaten down as Fury was in round 9.

It doesn't matter as they're both losers. Arguing over who lost better is pathetic. But Usyk clearly rates Fury higher, he said so before he'd even fought Joshua.

I'm probably in a minority but my interest in that fight could only be renewed if both AJ and Fury win their next fights. And I doubt that will be the case. If AJ loses to Dubois it should be a passing of the torch and in that case if Fury wins or loses he should retire. He's been treading water the past few years and it was only tolerable insofar he was finally going to fight Usyk. The time is coming for Fury and AJ to retire and allow a new generation to have the spotlight.

I kind of want 2024 to be the last for AJ, Fury and Usyk. Aside from the aforementioned scenario of AJ and Fury winning, it's time they moved on.

Usyk had virtually no problems with Joshua in their two fights and likely could have KOed him in the first fight had he sat down on his punches more. Fury did give Usyk some problems in the middle rounds of their fight but was likely robbed of a proper knockout by an incompetent referee.

Referee did nothing wrong & did not get in the way. He could have jumped in and gave an early unwarranted standing count which would have let Fury recover a little but no. The end of the round saved Fury nothing more or less.

Ofcourse he did… AJ won 1 rd semi-clearly in 24 rounds.. AJ was found out because he is too basic for a fighter like Usyk
