Parker is a Hearn fighter. Parker fights the WBO #5 next week.

Why did Hearn not insist that the WBO wait to see if Parker would be a better match against Usyk?

Parker is former WBO champ. Surely he has more chance against Usyk than Joyce does.

    Your thoughts??

Meh. Joyce deserves an opportunity, Parker hasn't done anything in years he can wait until he does something worthwhile.

I m a Kiwi and JP fan but I agree with the above. JP needs to dispose of Fa comprehensively then take on winner of JJ v Usyk... he doesn't deserve to leap frog as he has been only fighting warm ups for last 2 years

I agree with the above posters: Parker hasn't done enough in the last few years to warrant a fight with anyone near the top. I would rather see Usyk face Joyce -- I think it's a better fight.

I like Parker, but he needs to reevaluate some things and make some changes. He could have beaten Whyte, but he let it slip away.

Fa is more appropriate for Parker I'm sorry to say.

I’d honestly must rather see Usyk vs Joyce

If Usky CANT deal with Joyce then I lose all hope for him at heavyweight, as it would be proven that he is TOO small and lacks POWER. Joyce is a good gauge to determine how he can deal with tall heavyweights.

Parker has not been a contender in a very long time. Joyce is hot after the Dubois win.

I think he will probably end up fighting them both anyway.

Of all the HW's, Parker has had the most unfortunate luck in the last 2 years.

Even the cancellation of his Chisora fight could not have come at a worse time.

    The man needs a break

Parker is done. Fa will push him to the limit, wouldn't be surprised if he beats him even.

Parker's last notable win was back in September 2017 over Hughie Fury

Since then he has lost two big fights for titles. But not beaten anyone of note. So we are coming up to this September with him not beating anyone with a pulse in 4 years.

He doesnt deserve any further title shots. The Junior Fa fight is a joke btw. Junior Fa isnt even in the worlds top 100. It is an easy knee trembler opponent to give Parker confidence.

While he's been unfortunate with fights falling through you make your own luck. Sanctioning bodies are not just going to look at Parker and go "Poor Parker, lets give him a title shot when he hasn't earned it" he needs to get this Fa fight out of the way and then make a meaningful fight. I'm sure we'll see him in the mix again, his name still has value and Matchroom know he's easy to work with so opportunities will come his way.

Usyk is very friendly, which means he will talk to almost anyone. He is hungry, which means he is getting after it. He is feel, very, very feel!

Parker needs to call David Tua back out of retirement.

Usyk is out of prime for sure. Not likely he might now beat Dorticos or Briedis. Despite looks that Briedis too is over the hill. Only thing why this is difficult to notice is that his style is lesser relying on speed than Usyk's style.
I'm not joking, Usyk ofc is very good boxer with excellent credentials he deserved to have because he fought every one he had been given to fight.

Whiterspoon fight: I do not talk about " power ", Usyk was slow. This was not Usyk from WBSS.

For Usyk vs Joyce he might have some tools despite Usyk for sure is over the hill.
Usyk does know a lot how to fight/ use jabs. Vs Usyk he should forget to hope on jabs and use different tactic.
Out of prime or no, Usyk is excellent in jabs and jab fighting and for HW still not too slow.
