Tried to get on the Parker bandwagon only to be disappointed by his lack of fire. Would rather see Joyce who at least has a damaging jab that he appears willing to use alot.

 

Like looks that for example Briedis doesn't throw anymore with more than 90%....... If he will recover completely, then maybe he will be interesting to watch too.
WBSS2 looked like with out of prime and shape Briedis. Okey, at lest vs Dorticos he looked a bit recovered version.
Gas tank still is good, most likely enough also for 15 rounds but will he throw with real 100% is big question.

Usyk for example might be called " pillow fisted " because he barely defeated Briedis in close fight.
No one ever had get this Briedis down and this guy is former ammy KBer converted into ammy boxer and later pro boxer. Eastern Euro ammy KB is far more brutal thing than ammy boxing.
For Usyk was luck that he didn't had 30 y.o Briedis version with 213 lbs weight in weight in the ring. This version moved more smoothly than his CW versions.

 

I agree. It's a much more winnable fight for Usyk than Joyce. Joyce will take years off his career regardless of the result.

 

I can't subscribe to this line of thought. Just because someone has held the belt doesn't mean that they will be better than someone who hasn't held the belt.

Andy Ruiz has held belts, would he be a tougher challenge for X boxer than Usyk, for example? I don't think so.

I think Joyce will be tougher than Parker by a fair bit. Parker is a good boxer, but he's overrated.

should of been parker.. Joyce beat a overated dubois... with 1 punch... usyk is gonna toy withhim... hell parkers fast combo's would cause joyce trouble also.

 

I rate Parker highly but no he doesn't deserve a title shot.

All former champs in Parker, Ruiz and Wilder need to beat a legit top 10 opponent (or each other?) before a claim for title shot can be made.

Hunter (who was robbed a win against Povetkin) Winners of both Povetkin vs Whyte, Usyk vs Joyce would be the only guys worthy of title shot.

 

Out of prime Povetkin had robbed vs Hunter. Ofc U.S fans are thinking differently.

Becuase thing US boxing fans are comfortable with and expecting to happen as norm and must be happen is US boxers opponents robbed on cards.

 

First off I'm English not American, secondly I rate both Povetkin and Hunter highly and luke both fighters. When I first watched it I had it 7-5 rounds Hunter, watching it back a second time I had Hunter winning 8-4.

Majority of this forum thought Hunter deserved to win the fight. Even skyssports pundit team in the Povetkin vs Whyte fight mentioned that they thought Hunter deserved to win the fight.

I ofc do see that Povetkin long ago is out of prime and over the hill.
Only reason why he now is problem in top is because they gave him for Whyte to fight with. Looks because enough old and enough long ago out of prime. This is no secret for anyone with critical thinking.
Upset happened and now Povetkin is ranked in TOP5 not TOP10 after they gave him to Whyte as " easy fight ".

Joyce is the harder fight and better boxer.

 

Parker gets schooled by usyk and brutally koed by Joyce. First Parker should beat the wannabe world champion whyte
