Wilder is always high risk due to his right hand, just low reward now. I would stil like to see him vs AJ and Even vs Usyk along with Fury vs AJ.

You gotta love the pseudo respect certain Fury fans afford to Usyk to avert them from being called fan boys. No matter how hard they try, the cracks always begin to appear…….

Wilder is just a name on the record at this point. Similar to what Khan is to Crawford

Pointless, peole still holding on to an era from 5 years ago, it`s over stop living in the past, Wilder`s nothing now and was overrated in the first place.

Did you even watch him v Parker and Zhang? He offered nothing and he`s old as hell, he`s far slower than Usyk who is more skilled than Parker.

Deontay Wilder has finally said goodbye to professional boxing, according to Michael Benson. Boxing journalist Michael Benson posted on his 'X' account (formerly Twitter) on January 1 a piece of news that shook the boxing world, and although it was already looming, it left no one without reaction.1 day ago

If Wilder can win a big fight I'd actually like this.

5 years ago, Wilder vs Usyk would have been incredible. Post-Fury-trilogy Wilder is a broken man with absolutely nothing left in the gas tank.

OP, I understand your logic, that there is some symbolic value in the name, but Wilder really does have to get back in the winner's circle before he is in this sweepstakes. My recommendation is for Deontay to fight Lerena as bridger...a name opponent who gave Dubois a hard time, and someone he can beat. Build on that and see what Usyk's up to in a year.

I get the sentiment, that it would be cool for Usyk to have wins against the traditional 'big three ' of his generation. But Wilder is so far down the pecking order right now I don't think you could really justify it.

Wilder could knockout Usyk but if he doesn't its likely to be a dull 11-1 sorta thing. So no not really interested tbh. I get the spirit of the idea though Usyk getting all the names from this era on his resume. Parker and Zhang beat Wilder though and Usyk is a champ.

If anyone should fight Wilder just to "check it off the bucket list" its AJ. Usyk is the champ he should be fighting the best HWs who've earned title shots.

That'd make sense but hes made it clear hes not going to do it. Hes HW or nothing. BW was basically created to extend Wilders relevance a few years but if Wilder doesn't want it he doesn't want it.

Zhang would be a much better alternative to Wilder.

I agree with pretty much all the above said. Still i think 90% percent of us would check in out of curiosity. And why not? There is no clear path ahead for Usyk if he decides to stay fighting. Fun little matchup; probably outboxing Wilder 12 rounds. Him landing the big right proper would be a fun watch as well. Make it happen, im paying for it.
