I am here. And here to stay!

8-4 vs a tough heavy Chisora. Usyk looked rusty to begin with but made it easy work after 3, giving away 3 stones.

Chisora was out on his feet at 7 but Usyk couldn't put him away.

Tyson and AJ, look out boys, new kid is on the block.

It wasn't an easy fight for Usyk and he didn't have Chisora out on his feet in the seventh.

He didn't announce much at all.

Pulev and Kabayel and Whyte have all beat Chisora in the last few years.

I was expecting Usyk to win every round and stop Chisora in 7 rounds, inside 10 certainly.
Instead, he won on points, losing about 4 rounds along the way.
It's nothing special. Every heavyweight in the top 10 would be backed to do the same to Chisora these days, some would do far more damage.

To be honest, I expected Usyk to go through this much easier. But props to Chisora, good gameplan and an exciting fight.

Also respect to Usyk who went through hell the first three rounds. He seemed to struggle with the body punches in the last two rounds, where I started to think about what a fight against Whyte would look like.

Textbook Usyk blueprint, took a look and then dismantled Chisora. I had it 9-3 but his lack of pop is going to make every fight at heavyweight a long night.

If that round went for another 30 seconds Chisora was gone. David Haye 2.0.

I like Usyk a lot but the last two fights aren't really supporting the idea that he's going to dominate at heavyweight.

Yeah, I have to agree here. I expected him to start dominating Chisora after the beforehand predicted 4 round bull rush.
It looked that way, but then Chisora got back into the fight, showing Usyk is in the same ballpark as the Whyte, Parker, Ruiz Jr, Povetkin, Pulev group.

He did have him on his feet. He gets everybody on their feet eventually in most of his fights.

People seem to be forgetting that this was his first proper bout for 2 years.

I agree with you that Chisora was on his feet during the fight.

Usyk's performance reminds of how Adamek faired at HW. He was able to beat some slower guys like Arreola, while looking much weaker, but eventually got crushed easily by Vitaly.

Uysk is good enough to hang around the Top 10 of the HW division until he's 40 like Povetkin has done. At his age I don't think he wants to move back down to Crusierweight. He doesn't see this as a one time deal like Roy Jones Jr. did to move up to HW for the prestige.

Uysk weighed n at 217 which is the same weight Wilder was for his first fight against Fury and Povetkin weight in at 224 for his fight with Whyte. This 217 for Uysk was his fit as a fiddle weight not a McDonald's bulk up. The idea that he's not big enough for HW like Canelo isn't really for LHW doesn't ring true here.

Its more that Uysk doesn't seem to be a great finisher which is crucial for HW. Its not his game plan to begin with but he doesn't have one punch power either. Povetkin has his uppercut to bail him out. Overall Uysk is a much more complete fighter though.
