They are reporting over on another site.

He is going to finish the tournament, and, should all go well, plans a jump to heavy.

This is great news. To be great, champs need talented, pedigreed fighers to fight. Right now we have the potential for a great champ to be crowned if someone comes out on top of the Joshua-Fury-Wilder-Parker jam-up. Usyk, should he emerge as undisputed crusier champ, would be a great next fight on the horizon. We all know he can fight professional style against even the biggest of the big boys becasue of his fight with Mehdsidov.

    Hope this comes to pass.

Dangerous fight for Joshua. I like it. Usyk should stay focused on his current opponent though.

I think this guy is overrated. Dont get me wrong he's a good cruiser but a CW with 15% bodyfat @200lbs isnt going to be a realistic threat to the TOP super heavies

And no joe joyce doesnt count as a top super heavy

That certainly would be great, but let's see how the tournament turns out first.
Then, there's also Joshua's side, who's caught up in a unification/mandatory cycle for the time being, and it's not even sure he comes out on top.

All in all, if everything goes according to plan, it's the sensible ($$$) way to go.
Gassiev already mentioned he'll probably move up after the tournament... win or lose.
And Breidis already levelled the current WBA "regular" beltholder, so he'll probably move up too.

All these guys need to stay in their own yard.

Can you imagine the effects of the shot wilder almost killed szpilka with on their 200lb frames?

Wilder has already stated he wants a body on his ledger

Well if murat gassiev moves up theres your prime candidate.

Dont blame me when they call for boxing to be banned

The last time Wilder fought a 200 lbs Russian he got knocked out. Keep fighting cans Deontay.

    Seriously?
    1. Wilder himself isn't that heavy. 2. Spilka was more than holding his own in that fight. 3. This is what Breidis did with the current 245lbs WBA beltholder...

I think these guys can hold their own.

Steve Cunningham laid Tyson Fury flat on his back. Usyk is ten times the fighter Cunningham is.

Yeah holding his own until he got bodied and stretchered out and spent days in hospital in a neck brace.

And don't make me laugh with Charr

Weight classes exist for a reason

These small guys can maybe hang with the 6'2" 6'3" fat "heavyweights"

The 6'6" 6'7" ripped to the bone super heavies?

    They destroy them.

    Remember Adamek vs vitali?

Vitali was an arm puncher not a 1 hit ko killing machine like Wilder.

Yeah then tyson fury (who is featherfisted" grabbed him shoved him against the ropes and slept him with a single shot.

    Imagine what wilder would do.

Lol. Wilder hits comparably hard to Tyson Fury.

Szpilka, Prime Stivern, Molina, and Duhaupas have all been handled much more quickly by other fighters, often poor ones like Ashanti Jordan or Demetrice King. Wilder only looks good when figthing totally shot guy like Arreola, Harrison, or Stivern in the second fight.

Usyk-Joshua is a tough fight. There is no doubt in my mind, none whatsoever, that Usyk would make Wilder look like a complete fool on the way to a late stoppage.

Do you really think Wilder would KO Usyk? You really think he'd even land a clean shot?

Wilder is 6'7" 220lbs which is light as hell for that height and frame. He really isn't that big. Usyk is 6'3" 200lbs and he would comfortably be 210-215lbs as a heavy at least. As a result he most likely has greater bone density since Wilder is so damn light at the height.

Usyk would absolutely wreck Wilder. They size up reasonably. Usyk is a big cruiser weight, there was a picture recently with Chamberlain and Masternak and Usyk was noticeably larger than the two.
