My guess is that this is just leveraging Fury...I-don't-want-the-fight-that-much-so-you'll-have-to-give-me-a-bigger-cut kind of thing. But it is interesting that he is honest about the fact that it is difficult to keep the weight on.

I support the guy regardless. I would like to see him unite against Fury and defend against Wilder, but if his destiny did lie in taking on Okolie and Opetaia, fine by me.

He might want to consider Bridger. If the WBC insists on pushing it, it I going to be a thing eventually.

Could end bad for him if he did.. Besides theres really no big challenges at that weight for him. Just get healthy and wait it out for Fury would be the best thing for him.

Maybe he doesn’t see himself beating 3 huge monsters in Fury, Wilder and Joyce. Biting off more than he can chew.

He's already beaten Joyce, and Wilder will be an easy mark.

It appears to be just the opposite. He is getting sick of overeating.

He already challenge Fury for February fight. If the fight not happen it's not on him.

What indication do you have that he ever took any PEDs?
His build, height & weight, + rate of muscle gain is well within what someone with just OK genetics can do naturally while boxing.
It is unfair to accuse him of cheating with no evidence whatsoever.

I am not blaming him on anything, it's his decision. But you all know what will it mean if he truly returns to cruiserweight... Especially when Fury stated he'll have a fight in December, but now Usyk will ask him for one in February, so Usyk seems to not be very keen of fighting him, rather looks like inspired by Eddie Hearn. :D

A kudos for shooting straight. The OP already said that he'd support Usyk running away from heavyweight/Fury, and I expect there will be plenty others who'd rationalize it and act like it was perfectly acceptable.

I would take these comments with a pinch of salt, though, if they're even authentically Usyk's. I don't think he's going anywhere.

A five-rounder in the WSB fresh off the amateurs is not tantamount to a twelve-round bout between established professionals.

Yeah, spin what would be a blatant duck on Usyk's part as cowardice on Fury's. The gymnastics from some of you guys...
