I wonder if I could pay one of the mods to mass delete every Usyk comment of mine?

    Thats the appeal.

If Parker beats Usyk 7-5 who really cares?

This would be so much fun.

    Or his whole career?

The fraud who never beat a contender and had to be protected from an ancient gatekeeper on heart meds... Vs a legit ATG.

    What could possibly go wrong?

At least in his prime his power was more respectable. I always felt like the whole "he could land at any time" line about Wilder was bull****, because even at his best he needed to beat down guys like Arreola, Duhaupaus, and Molina. But he was really dangerous, so I would never deny him that.
The danger was last seen in 2022...

Wilder is wasted right now. He couldn't beat Usyk at his best, nevermind now.

It would be hilarious. Everyone would have to redo their calculations.

I feel like it was always, partly, a myth...

Yes, there was real power there but it wasn't being delivered against guys who offered much resistance, nor against guys known for top quality chins. It's so much easier to land, especially if telegraphing like he did, against lesser opponents - and especially easier to take the risk of overcommiting against guys who aren't necessarily going to punish you for it.

He was dangerous against lesser opponents, definitely...
But never beating a contender and struggling with gatekeepers like Ortiz and even glass jawed Szpilka showed he wasn't exactly brilliant at setting up or finding his target (and until Artur made the mistake of opening up and actually trying to win, it looked like he's seen the final bell).

I can't rate Wilder as anything above a fringe contender and lower top-10 kind of guy... There were too many that proved much more and I simply don't believe in giving credit for things that haven't been done, regardless of how many people are convinced "he would".

It would be possibly the greatest of all time vs the greatest fraud of all time. This ****ing guy became a worldwide star of boxing without ever really having to learn how to box. A masterfully created champion through subderfuge.

Jake Paul vs Deontay Wilder is more appropriate and possibly a toss up fight.

I know he faced an aged Arreola, but anyone who can drop Arreola has world class power. But if he had his mythical KO power, the fight would have ended via KO.

Exactly - big power, definitely... But in the conversation for GOAT power? Not for me.
