    Russell is not the lineal champion. He only beat Gonzalez who was not a lineal champion himself, just a mere WBC titleholder.

    Longtime featherweight kingpin Chris John was beaten by Vetyeka, who was then beaten by Donaire, who was then beaten by Nicholas Walters.

    Since Nicholas Walters moved up to 130lbs, Ring has Lomachenko as #1 featherweight. Russell is #2.
