Yeah I think Usyk just wants to carry fighting brits until he retires ha ha. Can’t believe how fast time flies but it’s been over 6 years since Usyk fought anyone who wasn’t a brit

Dan Rafael mentioned that nothing is set in stone, or even negotiations for Anderson versus Sanchez have begun. This video is probably fake.

I don't mind the fight aslong as Usyk is fighting atleast twice a year. That's been my biggest gripe with Usyk averaging 1 fight a year for the past 5 or 6 years.

Also atleast it would be a new opponent rather than rematches all the time.

If Usyk fights Anderson/Sanchez winner at the beginning of the next year and then has a big fight at the end of 2026 I'd be happy with that.

Aslong as its not just the Anderson/Sanchez fight for 2026 and nothing else. Because for a fighter of Usyk's quality that would be a huge waste of time.

So usyk prefers a lousy low pay bum fight where he can be 100% sure to win over a world class high pay blockbuster fight against a really dangerous opponent ?

Honestly, it's an insult to the sport if he does this. Very disappointing move if true.

Usyk has beaten Russians, Latvians, Americans, Poles, Germans, Brits, Mexicans, Cubans, Colombians, South Africans, Ghanaians, Argentinians you name it and he beat an awful lot of them in their countries

Brits were the reigning champions and or the highest ranked guys in the HW division all throughout Usyk's reign sans Dubious I and even then he was Usyk's mandatory. And obviously Usyk was contractually bound to fight some of those rematches and after a career of being criminally underpaid for a fighter of his vast talent and accomplishments amateur and pro, much deserved huge paydays and the biggest ones out there for him

Mike Tyson's first 7 title defences were against fellow Americans. In fac, he only fought one non-American during the entirety of his first reign, 10 fights in total or 2 non-Americans and 12 fights if you include his title win over Berbeck and he only fought 3 non-Americans in all his title fights: Berbeck, Bruno and Lewis

Holyfield won his first HW title off a fellow American and then he only fought 1 non-American in his next 27 fights right up until he fought Ibragimov (his 5th from last official fight, 2 if you count British born Alex Stewart who is listed as an American. So from his first HW title winning effort to Ibragimov, 28 fights in total including his first HW title winning effort only 1 or 2 of his opponents were non-American opponents in a run of 28 fights and 17 years and it's only 1 if you consider Stewart non-American and by that same logic Chisora isn't British

People shouldn't be taking issue with Usyk fighting Brits throughout his reign they should be complaining about American fighters having home refs and judges in the US for world title fights vs foreigners the vast majority of the time when that doesn't happen in any other country in the world, let alone the vast majority of the time. This is an absolutely massive advantage for them and totally unfair

They should be asking why Usyk is such a fearless road warrior who has forged a career beating his opponents in their backyards and on the road?

Why has he fought so many savage punching KO artists and legit bangers not only his size but bigger, much or way bigger and so few fighters smaller than him?

Why has he fought pretty much nothing but young or younger prime fighters and no shot old men for all his fights at the world level?

How impressive is it he managed to become undisputed at HW whilst doing all that when he was 37 y/o and was only a few months from turning 35 when he won his first HW title and was already past his prime, especially given the attributes he relies on at HW in order to be successful are some of the first to diminish with age and if you think he hasn't diminished a lot in those areas you obviously haven't seen him in his prime?

How impressive is it he has been doing all that, at his age, vs all those giants and savage punchers and legit bangers, without not only never having been knocked out, stopped, knocked down but never coming close to being dropped, especially from a head shot, or even being badly hurt by one and put on wobbly legs

How impressive is it he's achieved all of that, at his age, in his opponent's backyards or on the road, and managed to avoid getting knocked out, stopped, dropped or badly hurt whilst being one of the cleanest fighters ever with zero use of illegal or dirty tactics. So many of the greats and other world champs held or hold excessively, are or were very dirty and it definitely saved them from suffering more KDs or KO or stoppage losses

And then when you've done so ask yourself why so many of his current fellow P4P peers and fellow world champs and top contenders, including the absolute best ones, haven't been doing this or if they have been doing some of it not as much or near as much, or how they haven't been able to avoid getting dropped or badly hurt even though they've fought less or way less punchers or barely any at all?

Remember how Usyk ''didn't earn his shot'' at AJ when he invoked the WBO's own rule about one of their champs from a division below being installed as the mandatory challenger in the division North when they move up despite the fact he's only done that once, fought 2 fights at HW before he got his shot, didn't receive his shot for at least 2 years, and he had to fight AJ in his backyard on a heavily stacked deck when he did receive it.

But we didn't hear so much as a peep about Crawford being ''undeserving'' of his shot for invoking the exact same rule x 3 at 3 separate weights despite him having never fought a single opponent at those weights before he got his shots, all of which in his country on a deck stacked or stacked heavily in his favour, and he received his first 2 shots with 15 combined months and 13 for his one at 154 and he was the challenger for 2 of those fights not the champ

And then he waltzed straight into another title fight in his country as the challenger vs Clenelo despite it being 2 divisions North of the division he was in at the time and never having beaten a 160 pounder, let alone a 168 pounder

So 4 title shots in 4 different divisions in his first fights at those weights all in his country despite him obviously being the challenger vs 3 of them and his champ opponents being foreigners without ever having beaten a single opponent at any of those weights to ''earn his shot''

FTR, I'm not knocking Crawford but you get my point

Forgive me if I've made any errors or slight errors here as I'm very tired

He is not willing to fight for 50millions against kabayel or wardley but is willing to fight for 5% of that anderson or sanchez ?

He avoids kabayel , avoids due to his terrible injury parker while dancing on a party , avoids wardley by dropping the belt , avoids itauma because he is too young - but is ready to fight ... anderson ?

He was not willing to fight Wardley which I admit is not a ''mega'' fight but Wardley is still a hot hand at the moment who sold well at 30 thousand capacity football Stadium Portman Road against a relative nobody. so, it would have likely been a fight with a solid crowd and gate at Spurs stadium but he was not willing to take it. so, no, he's not going to fight an obscure and tricky Cuban who has lost or some head case yank who got squished like a quite annoying termite by Bakole.

Him and his team are clearly being self-entitled divas at this point and do not want to fight the dangerous contenders unless there's HUGE money on the table (who does that remind me of?) I'll give you a clue (caravan) anyway, he should just retire as Wardley and Kabayel are not ''mega'' fights and Sanchez and Anderson are not even moderately large fights. so, well done Usyk, now please go away and let the inferior guys fight for all the marbles.

I think he is here to stay . He will not retire . Just not fight at all or fight only guys with a 100% winning chance .
