Burrito man has an iron chin, ok power,(unsighted) counterpunching, combinations at close range. Many things Usyk doesn't do.

    Two very different men.

Usyk can be hurt. He doesn't hit that hard, or really throw the types of punches that will hurt AJ badly.

Usyk at cruiser was a pressure fighter

Can he physically pressure AJ? will be harder than normal. Mentally? yeah sure easy to pressure AJ mentally.

I can see the exact type of fight Usyk needs to fight to beat AJ. It's a very very tough road. His aged body won't help. bought off judges even worse. Bought off Ref even worse.

If AJ fails we can laugh at him again.

Cool thread, well thought out. How you aren't working for a major boxing publication is crazy...

One of them hails from Ukraine.
Burrito was dropped by shot Arreola.
After that hook landed behind Joshua's ear he seemed out of it. McCracken's words seemed to fly over his head.

I don't think Ruiz is a challenge for any decent HW who knows how to fight tall. Ruiz can be outboxed easily if you know how to fight tall.

Usyk is quite likely to face the "improved" Joshua from Ruiz 2.

"Improved" AJ is scared and panicks at close range, may be different against a small Usyk.

Fighting scared reduces the possibility of an upset. Fight tall behind his jab, make Usyk take the lead and counter him.
As long as he does that he gets a unanimous decision.

I like Usyk but his fans are getting unbearable on this forum. They are giving off the same impression as Rigondeaux fans before the Lomachenko bout.

usyk putting on weight isn't a given for anything.
it's new territory for him too, and the chisora fight might have prompted that.

I'm going for Usyk late stoppage by volume 11-12 round. But may the best man win.

I am getting a sense of déjà vu here, generally.
The public perception seems to have regenerated to an amnesiac state as before the Ruiz fight. The Ruiz fight seems to be remembered as a win rather than a loss, because of the unconvincing rematch. People won't stop talking about how big and strong and powerful AJ is, how small and featherfisted his opponent is, 'what can he do to win?'. Joshua seemed very nervous at the presser, a far cry from how he was with Pulev. Usyk, like Ruiz, likely has a well-studied gameplan and knows exactly what to do, whereas Joshua seems to just 'want to fight'.
