close but not yet. You have to figure in that CW is a subdivision with watered down content. Elite here doesnt mean elite in the major division of HW. I tihnk he was penetrated the top ten now for sure, but its hard to rate him up with say 3G, Crawford etc who didnt have the benefit of a subdivision. To compare him to Nomas is a bit of joke!
He's got a better resume than both Crawford and Lomachenko, but I'd still have Lomachenko above him. 1. Lomachenko 2. Golovkin 3. Usyk 4. Crawford 5. Garcia Just wait until Gvozdyk murders the super pimp.....it's going to be a Ukrainian takeover.
Personally I think Hunter might be better than Tabiti, Tabiti is too short too be very effective at CW against the likes of a Usyk.
CW is better than HW, p4p, no contest. It's honestly a mid level division in terms of talent. I don't buy into that it's the best division in boxing like some are trying to peddle, in terms of excitement? Maybe. As far as fighters go, it's not. But the view that it's some kind of sub-HW is a wrong one to take IMO, this is why it gets berated, you can have ultra skilled fighters like Lebedev and Usyk but until they do something at HW it doesn't matter? Why..?
He hasn’t had the performances to warrant that spot in the last two years. I had jacobs beating him and the Canelo fight whilst he may have popped it, it was definitely a close fight. Crawford, Loma and Usyk all dominated their opponents to get to their spots.
