168 has never been a great division. Most of the good names were extending careers from 160 or below (SRL, Hearns). The only 168 pounder I'd bet the farm would KO Joe would be the RJJ that Joe never fought but I wouldn't put it past a faded Hearns.

Even giving Joe the added weight, I'd take the top 5 MWs of all time to do the job, though. I don't really count 175 as Joe was well past prime and just cashing checks, but that all time top 5-10 definitely stop him.

Plenty might have been an overstatement. Prime, elite fighters would.

 

Imo it would be a bit ask of any middleweight to Ko a guy who has never been parked up in his life but hey it's your opinion and if we were all the same there would be no debate , over the years I've thought about these scenarios for example how the likes of guys like Archie Moore would have got on v some of the blokes walking around calling themselves the Heavyweight champion of the world and I always come back to the weight difference being too much of a factor to comfortably predict success.

 

I won't deny Calzaghe was great but Usyk has already a similar if not better record than Joe imo and he did it in his opponents backyard unlike Joe who played it safe most of his career.
