Uysk boxes circles around him. Povetkin would probably find it too difficult to close the distance considering Uysk's speed and slick footwork
If it wasn't for the Ukraine-Russia political aspect of the fight I think it'd be a great fight for Usyk. Povetkin is a little limited in terms of mobility, I think it's not controversial to say that he would struggle against Usyk. Povetkin benefits from guys like Whyte who are gonna sit in the pocket and stand still for a while so he can land big shots but Usyk has the size and speed along with the technical ability to outbox Povetkin. Usyk is going to have problems with heavier and taller guys, style wise Povetkin isn't going to be as big of an issue.
Usyk KO power is underrated. It is easy to assume: there is Gassiev, Briedis, Glowacki, these are b**** that is easy to finish. If marketing is needed, then yeah, he should had add in his record 10-15 cans in the ring to boost KO % and be more lucrative for western fanbase with high KO percentage.
Naw, I think Povetkin just is slower than in his prime. And this Whyte, despite achieved knocdowns, did not managed to hurt him. It is damn easy to dream about stuff, how " hurt " and beated up guy might set up texbook uppercut. For 41 years old Povetkin to do this looks that was easier task than for 34 y.o Povetkin vs Charr. Damn surprise, if old cat get finished, expected outcome. Yeah, Whyte finished by old Povetkin = it is surprise.
Povetkin by KO. Usyk was hurt bad by Chazz Witherspoon in his heavyweight debut. He has a weak chin. Gassiev rocked him with his cruiserweight punches. Povetkin would destroy him. Circling around and his pitty pat punches won't hurt Povetkin.
You probably are just another non U.S fighters hater. Nothing wrong, it is normal. If Usyk had been hurt so bad, why Whiterspoon that looks that had " hurt Usyk bad " had been finished? Not badly hurt Usyk? - BTW I agree, fight with Whiterspoon cannot be conisdered as marquee fight because this Whiterspoon was not ranked in TOP10 etc. Out of prime too. - Gassiev did not managed to land on him any really good punch. Nothing wrong, he was young, different experience level and ammount of ammy fights etc etc. Gassiev since WBSS final might had been improved a lot. He is young. I can't tell about today, but then Usyk was better ......... Yeah, a bit improved Gassiev version delivered Dorticos out of the ring with lesser number of punches than Gassiev used.
This. Povetkin’s legs are also completely shot as well, so I think Usyk would be a horrible style matchup for Povetkin this late in his career.
Tf is this nonsense? Americans don't give a damn about KO percentage Floyd mayweather is the most popular fighter of the last 20 years here. You talk of fighting 10-15 low ranked professionals as if having 200 fights against domestic level amateurs in your native country and using that to hype a fighter is any better. Give me a gd break
