I was going to create this thread as well. Whyte is a big step up from Chisora. He has a strong jab, excellent body work and one of the best left hooks at HW. I also think he could really rough house Usyk. Think Whyte would be too big and strong for him. The body work would be really gruelling for Usyk.
How is Whyte a big step up when he fought like 22 rounds on even terms with Chisora. If anything he’s an easier fight for Usyk because his style is slightly less reliant on pure pressure and work rate
Usyk is limited in the HW division because he is just not strong. He has the look but not the power. Imagine him fighting someone as fundamentally limited as Wilder and trying to get past his reach and that loaded right straight Wilder throws. All that athleticism goes right out the window without a bomb to deliver once he gets close. Joshua would box him out and Fury would just be Fury of course and find a way to mind **** him months before the fight anyway. He needs to be at CW again. HW is for the king of kings. Old Povetkin just showed us that a while ago.
Whyte is better than Chisora. He’s won fights on a bigger stage, the kind of fights Chisora has lost over the years. And he beat Chisora twice. Once a devastating KO. He would bully Usyk around the ring.
I was thinking that in round 1. The camera pans to him at the end of the round and he’s clearly on the phone. I jokingly said “get me a fight with Usyk” was what that call was about.
