What is your subjective probability that Usyk could have the same success against prime Wlad that he had against Joshua, and how informative, really, is Joshua's victory over the version of Wlad that he actually faced?

Usyk would win, because he is a winner. He would find a way.

Wlad has the size, power, and is one of the most experienced against Southpaws. And Usyk would still win.

I like Wlad in this one. Usyk didn't have the power to bomb Wlad out ala Brewster & Sanders, and Wlad was pretty masterful at making the most of his reach advantage over smaller guys like Usyk. Byrd was pretty damn skilled, but could hardly win a round against Wlad. Same with Chambers. Ibragimov as well. Maybe Usyk manages to do slightly better than those three, but no better than an 8-4 decision loss. If you couldn't hurt Wlad, he was extremely difficult to beat.

I used to think Wlad wide, and now I think Wlad wins close. Usyk is a lot smaller than Wlad but he's that good.

Wow very tough. The thing is Wlad has one way to win, his usual way. Long and Strong with low volume/output, Clinching up close.
    Kind of a safe bet.

    BUT

Usyk has two ways, his usual way, footspeed and footwork with feints to basically make Wlad have to react so frequently as to tire him out(anybody whos ever sparred with a skilled smaller man knows this feeling, how they seem to think and move at a faster rythm than you and how its draining to keep up with every move unless you just bully and overpower them) basically the Loma blueprint.
OR he could do the Holyfield thing and just go to war and bank on being tougher(which imo he is mentally) with Wlad not being a big body puncher, being used to low volume low pace fights, being a little fragile it really comes down to how much Wlad is allowed to clinch and if Usyk can slip out of his clinches like Lomachenko does quite well.

    50/50 for me

But since the odds would be in Wlads favor i would bet on Usyk

It's cliche with Wlad at this point but a lot might depend on the ref.

Usyk is special, he’d do to him what he did in sparring. People won’t realise how good Usyk is until well after he’s gone, they might come to terms with it when he mugs Fury off next month
