Usyk would have been extremely problematic against Old Foreman. Comeback Foreman relied on fighting fighters with little movement that would stay in front of him and try to exchange. His jab was ponderous but thudding and he could land it regularly against the guys that he fought. Usyk is none of those. He will in no way try to exchange with Foreman, he will present angles to him and he will hit and move. As a heavyweight he is particularly quick and nimble and Foreman would have been up **** creek without a paddle trying to catch him. He's probably the worst opponent outside somebody like Ali for old Foreman to face. Usyk wide UD.
I am a big George fan but Usyk is all wrong for him. He would move, jab all night and avoid any punishment from big slow Foreman. I’d be rooting for George all night but would be disappointed by the outcome because Usyk would win easily. Young George would have been major trouble for Usyk.
Foreman clubs through Usyks guard and wears him down. If Chisora was able to find him there's no doubt Foreman would as well and more often
You're such a ****in idiotic troll. It's honestly as if you have NO knowledge of anything real boxing related. Good grief...
Slightly late to this. When I first saw this my first thought was... Morrison. Usyk and Morrison are similar in size. Usyk a bit taller and a bit lighter. Morrison w/legit HW power, but Usyk has more stamina and is slicker. I don't see why Usyk doesn't UD the older version of Foreman. I think he could give the younger version of George fits. Jimmy Young did.
Foreman had deceptively fast hands, more cleverness than he's maybe given credit for, and a style completely unfamiliar for Usyk. Usyk will be effective if he is at an angle, but against Chisora he wasn't doing exactly what he should 100% of the time. It's one of those fights where it's just waiting to see if Foreman will catch him or not. I see it a little Usyk favored.
I haven't seen enough from Usyk at HW to think he'd beat an even old Foreman. His style (mainly the mobility) would be difficult for an old George though.
Chisora's leaping jabs and shifting are the only reason he was able to land anything of note on Usyk. Foreman can't cover the distance that Chisora was covering in the first 3 rounds.
It’s not exactly a controversial opinion, old Foreman is way better than Chisora. Stop being such an emotional fanboy.
Cut the 'emotional' ****... Are you being OVERLY emotional for jumping in a post that has nothing to do with you? It's the reasoning that's stupid. I'm well aware Foreman is way better. He was also WAY slower too in hand speed as well as moving. Little things like that can make a difference.
I mean you’re having a meltdown and calling someone a ‘****ing idiotic troll’ for picking Foreman to beat Usyk after Usyk just looked like crap against an old, shot Chisora. Weird.
