Usyk vs Benavidez

I would still favor this Usyk to beat DB, but DB vs AJ is the fight Id be making if Im Turki and DB.

Its a big fight, big event, and I think its a winnable one for DB that would also propel him to the next level of stardom.

 

Benavidez is the complete antithesis of Usyk he has forged a career being a massive weight bully fighting on a heavily stacked deck of home refs and judges vs foreigners and as soon as he moves up and fights someone bigger than him who in his own words he used to beat up and hurt in sparring they want to award him the Medal of Honor and act like he's been slaying giants in their backyards his entire career.

If he was cut from the same cloth as Usyk he would of already fought Jai in Australia and Bivol in Russia or wherever Bivol wanted the fight and he would've jumped at the chance to do so instead of putting up roadblocks for those fights. Won't even do in his prime what Usyk does religiously and is expected to do so when way past his so shut the beep up

How the hell do you move up to your 2nd weight class and weigh 196lbs for your 2nd fight at that weight which again in the 2nd highest fight night weight for a LHW I've ever heard of and is much/way heavier than career LHWs Bivol and Beterbiev have ever weighed?

Stopping Zurdo in the fashion he did was impressive but what they won't tell you is Zurdo hadn't even registered a KD at CW and he won his 1st belt at that weight vs a terribly inactive Goulamirian who had only fought once in like 4 years and 3 months and not at all in like 16 months.

Won his other one vs CBS who whilst a very tough, game CW who was underrated for a long time by many, is a real overachiever and lacking in the skills department and many Benavidez fans will tell you is a bum just like they did re. Yarde and Lemieux long before they fought him

And Zurdo went life and death in his previous fight to facing Benavidez vs a 39 y/o well past prime Dorticos who hadn't fought anyone with a pulse in 5 years and had only fought x 3 in all that time all early blow outs of certified bums. Not even 5 complete rounds in 5 years all vs bums and he arguably drew vs Zurdo

And truth be told Zurdo looked almost as trashy vs Benavidez as he did vs that inactive shot ghost of Dorticos

FTR, Benavidez is one of my favourite fighters but I have a hierarchy and if the fans of a fighter start pooping on one of my favs who sits higher up the pecking order, let alone right at the top, you better watch out because I will convince the entire world, including the fan bases of said fighters, that those fighters are the biggest bums and hype jobs to ever lace them up and that's some real dubbly bubbly real talk
